Indeed there are numerous "gift cards", each with their own name.
Case in point;  "Vanilla Card" is a gift card in which there's a fee to purchase  
it,  for example at Walmart.  

Perhaps the fee is  $2.95  to  purchase the  "Vanilla Card",  then to activate it,  
one must load Provider's  said booking fee or deposit  amount onto the card.
