This has happened several times.  I'm fucking my provider and the wife calls on my cell.  Actually, it tends to happen during a BJ  which leaves the option for pick-up open.  A few times I have answered and carried on a conversation that goes something like, "Yes, honey.  OK, dear.  Alright, sweetie." while my significant provider is stuffing her face to avoid laughing.  What are the feelings of most hobbyists about this.  Also, do providers care?  I know we hobbyist hate it when the lady picks-up a call, but is the paying customer allowed this option?  Can anyone venture a guess on what Dr Phil would say?  Do you suppose he has ever gotten blown?

But seriously - do you pickup the wife or let her ring/vibrate?  I rather enjoy the contrast myself.  But is there man-law on this one?

Not on the subject but for some reason this reminds me of something funny Danny Devito said in the movie Desperate People:  When he got a wrong number for someone named Mary, he just said that Mary can't come to the phone right now because she's too busy giving him a blow job; then he hangs up.

I doubt very much that Dr. Phil has ever had a BJ, but who can tell these days?

I answer the phone and politely say, I'm sorry dear, but I'm getting a blow job and I can't talk right now. I believe honesty is the best policy. That way no one's feelings get hurt.

I turn my phone off in front of the provider with the hope that she will too.  Nothing like getting all hot n' bothered then the phone rings to spoil the moment.

actually picking up the phone, this is simple: This is a place where mutuality applies.  Yes, you're right that most of us (and I presume you too) hate it when a provider takes a call on our time.  You may think providers find it hilarious but I think you're kidding yourself.  This is bad form for a sophisticated hobbyist and sounds more like something a college sophomore would do as a prank.  Man Law = Turn off the damned phone.

"I love wrong numbers."

Some wives insist on the phone being on at all times.  Ironically, they're probably trying to discourage their husbands from fooling around on them.  Apparently, this tactic can fail terribly.

but as I said above, for some guys, the wives insist that the phone be on at all times.

Of course, that might not be viable, even without the provider in the picture.  I'm certain there are a lot of cover stories.  If the phone is off too many times I'm certain it has to arouse suspicions.

and many guys ignore this too.   But to your real point yes, it is ettiquette and courtesy.  There are times and places for interactive cell phone usage.  During a movie, while being attended to by a doctor, in church, during clsss, and whne engaging in sex with a provider are all, 'no's'!

on vibrate - that way no interruption, but if once done I see that I had a call, I can return it and have prepared a good excuse as to why I did not answer.  If I see no calls, then no need to worry - but its nice to know if someone did try to reach me.

...You all know about him right?  Seems he went to see his mistress (or provider, not exactly clear) on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 instead of going to his office high up in one of the WTC towers.  He cut his cell phone off for his little tryst, which lasted for a few hours.  His wife had been frantically calling him, but getting no answer.  Around 11am or so, he decides to get ready to leave and cuts his phone back on, which immediately begins to ring.  He anwers.  He hears, "Thank God!  I've been trying to reach you for hours!  Where are you?"  He says, "I'm at work, just been tied up in a long meeting and had to cut my phone off."

BUSTED!

In light of the infamous "divorce from 9/11", I keep my phone on vibrate while hobbying.  I will not answer my phone while in the act.  When I leave I check for messages before receiving or making any calls.  I also have a well prepared answer for the dreaded "where were you" question should it come forward.  The biggest scare I got was when my 2-yr old son somehow got on the computer and pulled up my "work schedule" while I was away hobbying.  Fortunately, I saw it before my wifey did.  If she'd looked at it carefully, she would've seen that I was not slated to work that evening, which is where she thought I was.

As for providers who answer while "we're busy", well let's say I've only had one.  She and I were switching from mish to CG, when she got up to answer her cell.  It was on the floor, and when she bent over to pick it up, I went in from behind.  It was a major turn-on for both of us.  She couldn't really carry on a conversation (part of my intent) with me pounding her hard from behind.  As soon as she dropped the phone, she was moaning (the real moans, not the fake ones) in ecstasy.  Soon afterwards, we both climaxed in a major way.  Never did get around to CG that afternoon, but I doubt she'll ever forget (I know I won't) that particular round of doggystyle!
