I am wondering how hobbiests and providers alike define the word "mature."

Some sources leave one with the impression that "mature" equals "over 30." Others suggest the age should be 35+... and one Denver hobbyist believes "mature" is anyone over 25, which strikes me as a little ridiculous. It seems that the word "mature" has different connotations in the world of hobbying, than in the rest of society.

Still other definitions of mature have nothing to do with age, but with attitude, ability to pay bills on time, and a marked tendency to avoid using stuffed animals as bedroom decor.

No one definition fits.  Many will say over 35.  From a 'hobbist' perspective, some have a thing for an older woman, maybe in her 60's, which if they guy is young, I would categorize as a fetish.
To me, mature is in contrast to a 'sweet young thing'.  Some 'middle aged' guys want to be with a young tight body.  The allure of a mature woman is that she is usually more apt to be well-seasoned, takes her time and understands that the primary sex organ for men and women is between the ears, and this understanding often can make for a much more sensual experience.  I like a session where the gal gets some enjoyment/pleasure as well, this makes it more erotic for me, but I hate fakers.  In my experience, mature women are more likely to enjoy the time.

1. They still have a library of vinyl LPs although the drive belt on their turntable dry-rotted and broke 10 years ago.

I find it really interesting the number of obviously not over 30 providers who advertise themselves on NYC Eros in the Mature Catagory. Why would that be? Because they understand that the mature woman IS special and offers a service that doesn't compete with the hundreds of young, so-called perfect 18-26 year old's. Furthermore, she doesn't care.

Being mature is about knowing what you want in life, WHO you are and being comfortable with yourself and your sexuality in this biz and in life. That's why Miki, Beverly and I stay busy. There are lots of gents here who truly appreciate the mature women we are. And, I thank them. I wouldn't want to be any other age than the one I am.
