There was a post on another board and a provider was very happy she paid off her student loan and several others replied that they were working on the same thing. So I was just curious how many providers went through this same thought precess as a way of getting out of debt that can't be expunged via bankruptcy? Too bad guys don't have that option LOL.
huge increases in tuition for these "not for profit" institutions and somehow student loans are exempt from bankruptcy laws. Then you throw in the for profit colleges that will accept anyone and have a 80% dropout rate. Disgusting.
In my view no student loan should be exempt-it has to be paid back-I would even support some sort of insurance policy be in place as a requirement to pay it off in the event the borrower dies before it is paid off and secondly...regarding scholarships....anyone who receives a college scholarship would be required to pay off the actual expense if they failed to get a degree in 6 years. This would include as an example drop outs, athletes who go pro after 1 or 2 years, etc...
