Got this just a few min. ago in my email.
What are people's thoughts on all of this? (let's avoid flame wars, though).
I'm not sure if I'll read the book yet....who's going to?

Women in this industry ARE Victimized - but not be the men who use their services, rather the holy roly men  or the hypocritical men who prosecute those who sell sexual companionship.  The stigma is put there by those who accusers - rather than any concept of good and evil.

Remember - the prosecutors in most of these probably have, or will at some point in the future fequent an escort.... just ask Elliot Spitzer - who made his reputation by prosecuting escorts... and notice he did not equally go after the men.  

Are we convinced that it WAS suicide? There were probably a lot of names in her book, and while she was robably a true professional, after David Vitter (another hypocrite), people may have decided, "Why take chances."

Agreed.  I'm not at all convinced her death was suicide.  More like Cheneycide or something like that.

Yes she was a victim of selective prosecution but her method to prove this point betrayed the trust that all of us place in the agencies/ladies we deal with.  What she did anounted to a jealous lover saying if you do not help me, I will tell your wife, employer. My view, she was going down and she was taking people with her.  

I agree with the ladies in that the men get away with so much, especially since Senator Vitter still in the US Senate and Spitzer plan to run for office again but I think it because of their status rather than the indiviual.
