I believe my reaction would have been like yours. Shock and disbelief!  Things like this can bother you and sometimes it can be difficult to push it out of your mind..... if possible at all.  I do not think you should feel guilty, you did not agree to schedule.  It is obvious that you feel bothered and I can say that if I were in your shoes, I would have been upset also.  It makes you wonder how long the girl in question has been a victim and how much damage has been done.  Very upsetting.

I don't know whether the guy was serious or just playing a game.  I suspect that sometimes this sort of thing may go on.  You were absolutely right in drawing the boundaries around the activities in which you are willing to participate.  You should not feel personally guilty about this.  A poor comparison would be as follows:

ruth, the most likely situation is that this guy was blowing you, his use of the word "girl" intended to provoke your question about her age. (after all, he could easily tell you her age without telling you that she was his daughter.)

even if you assume he was for real, "daughter" could be his wife's daughter from a previous marriage, or simply his girlfriend or even another provider adopting a role ... and he just wanted you to believe in the fantasy.

bottom line, there is weirdness and unhappiness in the world and you are not responsible for it. you did the best you could -- you sniffed it out and declined to participate.

Almost sounds like a crank call. Sick minds out there people. But probably was not... which is even sadder.
