second-rate sites, you have to expect third-rate service, including when it comes to integrity.  I'm sure they gave him  a warning that they were going to do this.   That's extortion.  Nevertheless, I can't believe he thought they were bluffing. A life potentially ruined over chump change.  He should have paid and then spread his story through back-channels to hurt their business.  Too bad.
