Please take a couple of minutes to read the following guidelines carefully before posting on TER discussion boards. I know it's long, but I have tried to make it as easy to wade through as possible. I am open to suggestions for making it easier to understand.
Some General Posting Guidelines:
The discussion boards are not the place to post detailed reviews. Please submit them to the reviews database, instead.
Please do not post links to other review sites on TER discussion boards.
Ladies who do not allow reviews of themselves on TER may not advertise on TER. Ads, promos, ISOs or links for providers who have been de-listed from TER are usually removed, except for some warnings (rip-offs, etc.).
If you see a mistake or other problem in a review, submit a Problem Report. As a member, you can receive two days free VIP membership for an approved Problem Report, and you will be helping keep TER the dynamic and highly-informative resource that it is.
TER discussion board moderators deal only with the Discussion Area of TER and have nothing to do with the Reviews Area of TER, which is a separate area. We do not have the ability to approve, modify or remove reviews. The reviews staff approve the reviews. All TER moderators, including me, are volunteers and are not compensated by TER. Moderators are not even allowed to review providers on TER while they are moderators. At the risk of sound self-serving, I ask that you treat them nicely.
Ads and ISOs (In Search Of) are not allowed on the National/General Discussion Board. Ads and ISOs may be posted on the regional (city) boards, the Porn Star board, and the Transexual board. ISOs may also be posted on the National ISO board.
Ads for escort malls are not allowed on the discussion boards. For information about buying advertising space on TER, see the Advertising On The Erotic Review section, http://theeroticreview.com/webmasters/advertising.html .
Guys, ladies need to post their own ads. Because they are limited in the frequency of their ads, they need to be in control of when they are posted. Submitting an ad for a provider will get you moderated.
Some moderators may allow mini-reviews on their boards, but the poster should first submit a new, current review of the lady to the reviews database, and have it already approved by the reviews staff. Shilling is highly frowned upon and discouraged.
More ad-posting guidelines for the ladies are listed farther down in this post under “Ad-Posting Guidelines For Providers.”
The Newbie FAQ Board is a great place to ask questions such as "What does this acronym mean?" Try searching that board first for the answer, then ask if you can't find it.
If you are posting a message about a topic that is still fairly high on the first page, post your message to that thread, rather than starting a new thread. Once the thread is "stale" (it has fallen somewhat low on the first page or has moved off the first page), then you may start a new thread on the same topic.
Do not write in ALL CAPS. It is understood as shouting. Also, did you know that a sentence written in all capital letters is not as easily read as one written in upper- and lower-case letters?
TER Moderators may, at their discretion and judgment, delete any posts that, in their opinion, are not appropriate.
Ad-Posting Guidelines For Providers:
1) Independent providers may post one ad per week (any 7-day period). When visiting another city, you may also post one ad per week on that board to announce your visit. Include the dates of your visit in the subject line of your ad.
Posts regarding contact info, availability, announcing a new website or new pics all count as ads.
Escort agencies may post one ad per week per region they serve.
Please help us keep it fair by reporting violations of the limit to the local moderator of the board on which it appears or to Girl Next Door.
2) You may place your ad on the regional board (including the Other Cities board) that is closest to the area you service or are touring.
Porn Stars may advertise on the Porn Star board, and transexuals are encouraged to advertise on the Transexual board.
Unsolicited ads are not allowed on other TER discussion boards, including the National Discussion Board. Providers may reply to ISOs (In Search Of) with their links.
3) Your ad must include a link that goes to your website, to your TER review profile, or directly to your ad on an escort mall. Agencies may link to their own websites only.
Any ad that does not provide a valid, working link will be deleted. The link must work when the moderator reads it, so please check it carefully when posting.
Your contact information must be on the site you link to.
You may not link to a provider ad that is hosted on another escort review site.
If you link to your own website, whether you are an independent or an agency, that website should be listed in the TER Site Reviews, http://theeroticreview.com/site_listing/index.asp . Read more about how you can join here: http://theeroticreview.com/site_listing/tips.asp . To add your website, click here: http://theeroticreview.com/site_listing/submit_site.asp?category_id=27&city_id=1
The logo or banner needs to be full size and unaltered.
4) Post your own ads. Ads posted by other parties will be deleted (an exception would be when a lady employs someone to do her booking and advertising). Ladies, do not ask guys to post ads for you--it only gets them moderated.
5) Please do not write in ALL CAPS.
6) Moderators may delete ads after they expire.
7) Ads and promos for providers who have been de-listed from TER will be removed.
TER Moderators may, at their discretion and judgment, delete any ads that, in their opinion, do not follow these guidelines.
By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better. You may include your link in messages you contribute to any TER discussion board, and that does not count toward your ad limit. In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better. Just please make those linked messages meaningful, entertaining or helpful contributions.
Thank you,
Girl Next Door
