Month after month, I would read posts here with much amusement about guys who somehow seemed to have lost perspective on things and who were well over their heads with reference to finances or matters of the heart as it relates to the hobby or an ATF. "What schmucks!", I would think to myself. How can anyone let themselves get so removed from the real world. These guys either have to be the dumbest bunch of people I have ever encountered or a most immature lot at best. That could and would never happen to me! I am far too wise and smart for that........................

Since Monday of this week, my son made a request of me for financial help to assist in acquiring his first home for him, his wife and an about to be first daughter. My daughter's automobile took a dump and she is without wheels and also in need of some financial help.

Last week I made a commitment to a multi-year lease on a new vehicle for myself and have a few thousand dollars worth of home renovations currently being undertaken.

Last night, as I consumed a glass of wine after an especially difficult day at the office and pondering my children's requests, I was thinking to myself, "Damn, this is really going to F$#% up my getting together with ........ for awhile". I found myself becoming angry with my children and how they were going to negatively affect my hobbying plans.

I get mad at the mortgage, utilities in fact all the bills because they negatively affect my hobby plans.

I was hoping this post was telling us that the two NASA probes had found providers on Mars! A whole new group of traveling providers would definitely be worth shouting from the rooftops

I hate to say it but things that temporarily make you weak will someday make you stronger. I feel for you, and we've all been there.
