I have a friend who was informed by TER that he could not get a White Listing removed...that only the provider herself can remove it.

I thank that is total bullshit and hate to say it, but adds proof to the alias asshole claim that this site is now less for the reviewers (hobbyists) and more for the providers.  That it has become a provider site.

No, I am NOT "my friend" as I value each of the WLs I have or have had in the past.  And all should know by now the multiple charges I have against me for White Knighting and Manginaism.  I WELCOME the ladies to the site to advertise, flirt, debate, whatever they wish on the boards - I don't wish to be here just chatting with a bunch of dicks.  LOL

But those who actually listen instead of short-sightedly stereotype will know I have ALWAYS advocated TER as a site created to serve the hobbyist first.  To NOT let use have a say in whose WL we carry is complete bullshit.  Certain WLs can work against us if the provider is busted or gets a bad rep.  Some could even put them there in order to GET the referal calls on guys they don't like.  Weirder things have happened.

What I am saying is that WE should have as much say in our White Listing as the ladies - who 99% of the time do it for the right reasons and should be cherished for it.

A lady has a choice to severe ties with a guy by removing the WL.  A guy should have the same option without having to engage in drama with the provider or hunt her down by contacting her parole officer.  LOL

IMO

Yes, I will post on the suggestion board, but not many go there and guys SHOULD know and care about this one.

Let the fur fly now.

It's not often I agree with all the TER bashing that goes on...but in this case you would be absolutely correct.

There's not ONE reason in the world why we, the paying members, should not have control over our "account".
I always thought that privacy, secrecy, and discretion were some of the cornerstones of this activity and lifestyle.
Allowing anyone to advertise our activities or actions is WRONG on many levels.

The only other alternative is to have the provider delete the WL.

A whitelisting is a gift.

Like any other gift, it can have unwanted strings attached or it can carry unexpected baggage.

BECAUSE it is a gift, any hobbyist should have the ability to DECLINE or DISPOSE of that gift as he sees fit.

Any hobbyist should be able to log in to his profile and remove any whitelisting at his discretion at any time without having to go hat-in-hand to anyone else and say "mother may I?"

The very idea that TER ONLY allows a provider to remove a whitelisting is stooopid.

Yes, she should be able to remove it. But so should the hobbyist.

I don't see this is a WHite Knight, Mangina, Manrectum or Dark Knight issue. I see this as simple fairness and common sense.

A guy shouldn't be forced to disable ALL white listings just to make one unavailable. He should be able to remove them as he sees fit without having to ask the provider to do it for him.

I agree, Stan. This policy is BULLSHIT and needs to be changed.

If a gentleman does not want to be white listed the lady should respect that and it shouldn't be a problem.
I know some of you prefer not to be white listed for discretionary purposed.
Has he actually asked the provider or did he just throw a fit with TER before speaking to her?

This actually makes a huge amount of sense.  Agreed that a WL is a gift...  There are way too many reasons why a client would not want to be associated with a particular provider.  TER should change this, with the sole proviso that once deleted, it would not be restored by TER.

Having to ask means maybe having to explain. A useless waste of time and energy that there's no purpose for. Who knows how she'll "take it"? Will she think it's about her? (surprise surprise...some of them think EVERYTHING is about them).

Some ladies whitelist without saying. It just shows up. So she can't respect his wishes...unless he brings it up. Again...it shouldn't have to be brought up or discussed. You know...just like the donation, right? Never discussed.

Bottom line is that, unless someone comes up with a reason that makes sense, there is no purpose for a man to not be in charge of that aspect of his "account".

Just sayin'

For better or worse, there are a lot of ladies who make your life much simpler during screening with WL's.  So, why remove one?  Because you don't like her anymore?
Oh, and BTW, though it was a valiant effort, you are no less a mangina than before you posted this!

Pretend that when you saw her, provider X was an exemplary provider. She gave you a white listing.

Now, pretend that you go to see provider Y, and she says "I can't see you because that lady who white-listed you has been giving fake verifications in order to allow LE setups."

Oh shit!  There's no telling WHAT the real truth is. Maybe it's all just back-biting and gossip. Maybe it is real. Who the hell knows? All that matters is because of this white listing; a provider turned you down.

Now, I guess it would be a good idea to call this possibly-flipped provider and tell her all the juicy details. You can tell her, over the likely recorded connection, that provider Y said that she has been giving out fake verifications in order to enable stings.

NOW provider Y is gonna get nailed too. But I guess only a MANGINA would give a shit over an innocent woman's freedom. Huh?

What is the outcome of that?

Wouldn't it be better to just quietly remove that listing without Provider X's advanced knowledge?

Oh -- and here is another one.

Some providers have some personal and unpublished rules that say that they won't ever see you if you have seen certain providers.

Now, personally, I would never try to trick such a provider into seeing me. That's just me. But, certainly, some hobbyists would simply not review the providers that the other found offensive.

But if there were a whitelisting from such a provider?

Then you have to call her up and say "Hey Betty!  I was just getting ready to see Sally and she won't see me if I've seen you. Can you please remove that white listing so I can see someone who hates your guts? Thanks!"

Talk about fucking drama. Isn't the hobby supposed to be drama-free?

It's not like being able to remove a blacklisting unilaterally, for goodness' sake. It's a WHITE listing.

Feel free to look at mine and I will say I am proud to have met every one of those fine ladies.  And I did not ask for a single one of the WLs that I have remaining, so I am proud of them.

My friend has 2 WLs.  One is by someone who is simply awesome and he has every right to be proud of it!  Why should he have to hide hers?  The other, she is pretty tainted lately and she was one of a pair that threw WLs around in exchange for business.  I am not saying that was the case with him, only he knows why she gave it.  But he should be allowed get rid of it without losing the WL from the total sweetheart.

1 - DirtyD is 100%, why is NOT the point.
2 - It is none of either of yours business to know why.  The issue is simply whether a hobbyist has a say in having a WL or not.  You seem to be fine with giving 100% of that authority to the providers rather than the hobbyist himself.  Talk about a wimp WK.
3 - Do you really think a guy should HAVE to contact a provider that was busted to get a WL removed?  You think LE MIGHT be watching the e-mails and phone numbers???  You REALLY want other providers contacting a provider who may have flipped?  Just one example.  But if he just doen't like her anymore, why is that not enough????
4 - Let me ask this back, WHY would any provider care if the WL is removed?  Does she have orgasms having to reply to referal e-mails and phone calls?  WLs do generate referal inquires.
5 - Why shouldn't a hobbyist have a say in having a WL?
6 - I couldn't give a crap if an alias thinks I'm a Mangina...have been calling myself that in here for a long time now.  It's all a joke.  I have been consistent all along that the ladies should be welcome here and treated appropriately and not bashed or insulted for no reason.  But I have ALWAYS made clear that this is a reviewers cite first and foremost.

I asked the questions to get a better understanding of the situation  that the OP posted about.

"I have been consistent all along that the ladies should be welcome here and treated appropriately and not bashed or insulted for no reason"

I tend not to post if I don't think I might have something to contribute so how dare you  lash out at me for asking if the gentleman has asked the lady to remove the white lists.

I regularly remove white list referrals  for gentlemen I have not seen in the past year because I do not give references for longer than that.

First, he can turn off the display (look at mine; I think I have 4, but you won't see them).

Second, he can ask her to remove it.  If she thought enough of him to put it there, that conversation should be reasonable enough.

Lastly, do you also advocate that providers should be able to remove reviews from reviewers they don't care for?

I've got no dog in the hunt, but your ire seems to be far in excess of the problem.  At least to me.

Hobbyists are not being paid for a service; and a whitelisting is merely an endorsement that he is a well-behaved hobbyist. A whitelisting is always positive.

Reviews, on the other hand, are for a paid service; and may be either positive or negative.

A provider being able to remove reviews unilaterally would be more closely analogous to a hobbyist being able to unilaterally remove BLACK listings.

If a hobbyist removed a WHITE listing unilaterally, nobody is harmed.

But if providers were allowed to unilaterally remove reviews; soon the honest providers who allowed 8/9 reviews to remain would be out-competed by dishonest providers with only 9/10 reviews. Thus, paradoxically, the most honest of providers would be harmed ALONG with duped hobbyists.

So IMO, it's an apples/oranges comparison you are making.

By allowing hobbyists to unilaterally remove White Listings and allowing providers access to unilaterally remove ONLY excellent reviews.

I have no objection to allowing providers to unilaterally remove EXCELLENT reviews. (i.e. where performance and looks are both 9-10.)

The point is that a guy should also be able to remove a WL whenever HE chooses to.  Period.  His motivation has nothing to do with his ability to do it.  So WHY has nothing to do with my point.

My last post as it relates to your comments are far from lashing out.  And I will dare to state my view anytime just as you should.  Asking why this particular person wishes it removed is not the point at all of this post.  There is no reason a guy should meet "conditions" to have a WL removed from his profile.

supportive of paying TER reviewers, and one I am actually surprised to hear you defend (kinda).  Giving BOTH the ability to remove it is fair play.

Why should he have to turn off all his WL because of one?  It should not be all or nothing.  Addressed this earlier.

If he COULD contact her, why SHOULD he have to?

Providers DO successfully pull reviews they do not like.  Not always successful, but they do.  TER says the reviews are their property, so ask your bosses on that one.  Are they saying WL are the property of TER as well but give total control of it to the providers?  The ability of reviewer and provider to pull a review is about the same - both can under limited circumstances.  The comparison is not a very good one really, as I am advocating equal ability here as well.

Is this a reviewer site or not?  My suggestion gives equality on this issue, yet as usual, the status quo is defended.  Anything advocated in here is "taking it all too seriously".  Is anything in here serious in the big picture?  Hell no.  But why is it a big deal for TER to support a paying VIP member by taking some little IT action to remove a WL?  What is the company reason behind NOT allowing a reviewer a say in his WL?

I suppose we could just go back to the normal train wreck debates in here.  We all know the same old rotating subject lists.  LOL

Did you not post this?
"I have a friend who was informed by TER that he could not get a White Listing removed...that only the provider herself can remove it. "

Then you go off of a freaking tangent into the abyss asking what the hell business it is of mine why he wants the white list removed?

You can bully alot of people Stan but I will not be one of them.I did nothing wrong and you acted like I had.

So in the future if you cannot show me the respect that I have shown you in speaking to you  and you feel the need to respond to me again...
Please don't.. go jack off..get laid ..anything  but I have nothing further to say to you.

supporting it customers.  It is not about whether he did or didn't or even could.  The point is that he should not have to.  A provider does not have to ask me before removing it.  Why should he have to ask her to, drama or not drama?

Yes, I am well known for bullying providers here on this board.  That is definitely my rep.  So as far as my original response point number 2 where I included you with "Knot" as to the why, I do apologize.  But both of you missed the point...WL should not be the sole call by the provider side.

It is not my place to say why in any specific case why a guy can not contact a provider.

And debating is not lashing out and you are being overly sensitive IMO.

Thanks to Stan for the post since I was unable to address the issue until now.

I requested the White List to be removed because it caused me a lot of trouble in passing screening for providers. If it were not for Stan and a very reputable provider vouching for me I would have missed an opportunity which was utterly amazing.

The provider in question is apparently out of business or otherwise unattainable and that's why I requested TER remove it.

Since TER does not care about anything except collecting money and building a database of reviews I will sadly turn off my White List than have to endure the endless questionsa about it.

I do respect the providers that did question it since they were obviously only looking out for their own safety.

rules of choosing a provider to see.  Since one should only choose a provider of the highest pedigree of morals and ethical standards this situation, or any "possible" situations could never happen...EVER! The "pure as the driven snow" ladies that you two pick (by your own posts) could never pose this problem.  So I don't understand the feverish intensity of this arguement.  Since this is a "friend" of StanVAG, and Johngulp doesn't even have a horse in this race, other than just counting posts and reading your own BS, this makes no sense!

"choose a provider of the highest pedigree of morals and ethical standards"

Just because I respect and speak positively of the majority of women I see does not mean I screen for purity.  Simple minds like yours do have to lump everything and everyone together don't they.

I choose providers with whom I think I will get along and provide menu items I want.  That's it.  That is why I enjoy having them as part of the board.  Been consistent on that.  Neither they or the guys are angels in all this.  Be real.  My selection process is different than John's.  Not better than his or yours, just different so I find what I want.

Where is my post count the last 30-90 days?  Compare it to yours.

The subject is a legit hobby issue for discussion and makes total sense.  You just see a screen name, ignore the topic, and set out on your own little agenda.  Why you guys focus so much on other dudes is beyond me.

Sorry it is not the typical childish "bash the other guys" topic for you.  But you did your best to make it that.

not have to turn off the good WL in order to "get rid" of the other.  Why should a client be held responsible for a provider that screws up and is "away" for some time not by her choosing and it having nothing to do with him?  Or for whatever reason.  We should be able to drop them just as the ladies should be able to drop them.

While a lot on this thread "got it", it is sad to see that it took its typical TER GD board turn away from the subject.

Glad you were able to meet my friend.  She is a special one.  You had a great time, she enjoyed meeting a nice guy and it was good revenue for her.  That, I think, is how the community is supposed to work.  Regardless of the name calling nonsense and total BS that happens in here, we all should work together to help each other enjoy and do it safely.

Write to your congressman about health care, or the banking mess, something important.  No, you are going to post 20 times on the same thread, saying the same thing, over a subject that is no big deal.  And just like the national problems, this TER problem of yours in one you can do nothing about.  So just STFU!
