have no rates posted???  It seems more and more provider ads don't include rates. Also trend of no phone #s listed/email only is very annoying.

some providers don't like the word "rates" and these places won't allow you to use the word "donations." Several of us have spoken to attorneys on this matter, not that it makes much difference to hobbyists. Plus, some women will offer specials from time to time, so they'd rather not list a set rate, instead a link to their websites so gentlemen can read more about them, find out their donations, etc. A missing phone number could be for different reasons. Each lady is careful about something else from the next lady. I don't list mine because I have many civie friends that know my cell phone number, so I'd prefer to give it to the client once we've made arrangements, so please don't judge these ladies too harshly. I figure if a guy wants to see me bad enough, he'll go to my website (where everything is listed anyway). Some ladies might even use it as a marketing tool to converse back and forth with you before making an appointment. I'm sure there are several reasons for it.

If the donation is not posted on the web site, how can I ask the fee with out alarming the provider?

I was speaking of ads on various sites (hopefully linking to the provider's personal website). I agree with you, it would get annoying. I guess you'll just have to email her and ask her.

I just ask "how many leaves of lettuce to bring for the salad?".  It gets them laughing and they can answer without feeling set up.

I have a work phone that rings on my desk... I also have a front desk phone that rings to the receptionist... I have a cell phone that rings to my business cell.... I have a separate cell phone that I use for the kids school, friends and family, I have a personal phone at home that is my home phone # --- in addition my company has several other phone #s where I can be reached....

and now....  I have e-mail personal and company...

soooooo..... now providers cannot have one cell for business and a separate cell phone for personal life???   hummm....  Not judging - but you get the picture... business is a contact sport and the more difficult a lady makes contact the harder it is to actually do!  As I have said before - what I need when contacting a lady is location, some idea of her services (coded) price and a means of communication - and for this hobby I do not like e-mail - although I will do it in extreme situations.

Not saying that your way is incorrect - just prefer the cell phone approach to this business...   clean, it is.

But this is just one person's view

and mine is not having two cell phones plus answering the phone all day for those want-to-be guys who just like jacking off to your voice. Believe me, there's plenty of them out there. I only do this part time, so if I miss a few clients/friends because of it, then so be it. I'm not desperate, but I can certainly understand your position. By the way, which is your favorite position? Wink! Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

it's a quality of life issue. after answering hundred and hundreds of phone calls to tell people the same things (like rates) which are listed in your ad you begin to lose a little patience.  you begin to fantasize about doing things like taking a shower or going shopping or having dinner without it being interrupted by a "Uh, yeah SO WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?' phone call.

now that i have taken my phone number off eros and it's only on my website and only on one page my schedule.... i can do all this, in fact i can go days without phone calls and then have 8-9-10hrs of appt requests the day of/before i'm doing incall.  (can only squeeze so many in at lunch so that many appts never happen). but, basically it's a quality of life issue. just send an email. takes a second. you'll probably pass the most basic screening just by being interested enough to email.

it's sort of nice (for a guy) to just decide, hey, I think I'll get some, and proceed to do it promptly and immediately.

Ideally, of course, this is what live-in GFs are for, but that's dreamland.   If most men are married, the 2nd largest group has to be hobbyists, and neither can get away from the fact that it takes at least hours of windup and preparation, and at my age and stage of crankiness (think "Grumpy Old Men") who knows what I'll feel like doing tomorrow?

I'm an impulse buyer.  The way to solve that issue is to know as much as possible in advance, so the only problem is scheduling.

Something I have not seen is a website with a calendar indicating when the provider is available.  Probably too much trouble to keep up - but a general statement on the site, with a phone that you just turn off when you don't want to talk (just turn it on when you're in the mood for impulse company) should be a winning combination.

Managing phone calls is a major problem in lots of businesses.   I know people don't like to talk to answering machines, but a short info message and recording should work.   Some sort of reasonably cheerful message might help - lots of men just don't like to leave messages.

i do. the problem with friendly voicemail is that you still have to return calls and this involves listening to a lot of messages repeatedly, taking notes, trying to get back to people in a timely manner or worry about losing clients b/c they think you're a flaky, unreachable or a don't return phone calls type.  this can easily be a couple hours a week (and this is to return calls that are not for appointments just to supply inforrmation).

with the schedule/phone number prefixed by 'until 7pm' on my website 95% people call when they're supposed to call and surprisingly 90% of people leave messages.  marketing wise it is one of the smartest things i've done this year.

It's up to the provider how much business she wants and if she doesn't want a lot of phone calls all day. And it's up to the hobbyist who he chooses to see. We all have different ways of doing business. I say whatever displeases you, then move on.

I don't want to have take the time to call for rates. I want to know right off if the woman is in my price range and if not, just pass on to another. And they often don't want you to mention rates on the phone anyway.

The e-mail part is ok with me. I prefer e-mailing to calling so as not to leave the phone number on a non-cell phone account at work or home.
