I always understood it to be an older woman being on the "prowl" for a younger man. But lately I've been seeing lots of ads where the provider refers to herself as a "Cougar" ... only to mention that she will see men 35+.

Maybe it just means a sultry/feisty woman?

The term in civvie life  has a little  different meaning.

to your own definition. what it means to you it may not mean to someone ese just like GFE PSE MILF Erotic Sensual YMMV and so on. they are all loosely used terms subject to personal perspective I believe.

As well as there are many bdsm activities and terms that should be redefined or renamed too.

3.  An attractive woman in her 30's or 40's who is on the hunt once again. She may be found in the usual hunting grounds: nightclubs, bars, beaches, etc. She will not play the usual B.S. games that women in their early twenties participate in. End state, she will be going for the kill, just like you. Associated with milfs.

4.  A woman in her sexual prime who prefers to hunt rather than be hunted. A cougar's victims are usually under 25, as cougars prefer to mate with men who still have hair. Cougars generally feed and then continue hunting, as they enjoy role reversal.

The definitions have been broadened to suit a wider range of personal interpretations. Some have been broadened to the point that they really don't have anywhere near the meaning of what the original intent might have been.

It's nothing more than an older woman (30's-50-s)
who seek out men much youger than themselves.
No different than the older guys who only want to see 20 something ladies.  Simple.

BTW, for those of you who live and die by the urban dick-tionary...give it a rest.  That is about as useful as wikipedia...NOT VERY!

Cougars are age range as stated mostly 40's 50's and even 60's but the 30's are on the rise too!

Gag me!  You can count me out of the "everybody".

I am NOT a "cougar".  Though I certainly fit the age range, I DONT "hunt" hence the term "cougar", younger or older, PERIOD.  

I have no desire to be like "EVERYBODY", or Elizabeth Taylor, or anybody else for that matter.  She was married how many times?

I like to say "there's not another one like me".  My mom says "thank God for that".  I've been meaning to ask her what she meant by that.

They were all to reasonably famous people (Except for that whole Larry Fortensky thing, but who amongst us is perfect?)

No one, of course, should ever try to be like anyone except oneself.

But Liz is really one of the most exceptional people there are in the world.  But that's the subject of whole other thread I suppose.
