Its time for my yearly trip. I would like to hobby multiple times over a 4 day weekend and take some 420 breaks in between.
So Vancouver or Amsterdam?

I've been to Amsterdam but have never been to Vancouver, so the only reason I'd consider Vancouver is because I've never been.

However, Amsterdam sounds WAY more fun, hands down!

Hands down. By Euro rail there are travel days to all over Eastern Europe. Take the art tour visit the sex museum. Go to the district. Eat great food.
I make a point to get there at least every 3-6 months
Now might be kinda cold to go though... I always go in April and again at the end of summer.  

bumping into Sedona from San Diego while touring Amsterdam would have been an unforgettable experience!

Amsterdam is great but this time of year the weather is miserable. Your chances of seeing the sun in Vancouver are higher. Have you thought about going somewhere warmer such as Thailand *Phuket) or Venezuela - one can party there and flights as well as accomodations are relatively cheap; and if you have your sights set on Europe you could try Ibiza - a very wild place! -Shiro.

I have been to both Amsterdam and Vancouver.  I think I would go to Vancouver just to see Danavancouver.  She alone would make the trip worth while.

From what I've heard, Amsterdam is OK, but that you're better off going to another Dutch city from there, like Utrecht. Amsterdam is touristy, so prices are higher there. Holland is a small country and it has excellent rail service. You can take a train from Amsterdam airport to anywhere else in Holland in a couple hours at the most.

Amsterdam.

Stop off at the Bulldog and get a Space Cookie (um, herbal cookie).
Then hit the Heineken Brewery for a beer.
Grab a bite to eat (the munchies should be kicking in)
Go window shopping!  (And I don't mean for diamonds at the Rikhs (sp?) Museum.

Rinse. Repeat.

I haven't been there since 1987 as a college student, but I still get dreams of going back there.

Screw Disneyland.  THAT is the happiest place on Earth.

all it's cracked up to be. I was there last year and was not impressed at all.

Kink in the Caribbean just ended the Beginning of Nov so you just missed that. That is where most of my performance photos were shot last year.
Although no festival now its still a goregous hotel.

The city offers better adult entertainment than Amsterdam, and it is as beautiful and interesting as Paris, at half the cost.
