My guess?  Guys with rich wives are more able to -- and inclined -- to seek treatment. Also, independent women are more likely to push their hubbies to deal with it.

I don't know any more.

Has anyone here found that the wife's dough means no go?

Everyone knows that a paramedics pay is okay at best, but I also have my business that I actually make more money with. Even with that the soon to be EX makes more than I do, and I have never had an issue with getting it up, unless I'm dealing with Whisky dick LOL.

I don't care if she is making more money, it just means I might be able to have more toys like boat, 4 wheeler, or motorcycle.

I wish but the court system doesn't really favor the male in situations like this. Not to mention I don't really care, it's not about the money. I do pretty well but obviously 2 incomes are better than one.

The EX-Ms superdude makes a ton of  money.  She is incredibly lucky, works for big companies in her industry - they reward her with bonuses and raises the likes I never saw in the same industry... the then goes to small, start-up companies in her industry - and through an acquisition winds up with a sizeable pay out.  When I went with a small start-up, we went outa business~!  go figure.  She then goes back to bigger companies, travels the world, vacations in exotic south sea islands.... etc.  Not to mention she is given signing bonuses - housing allowances - etc.  she claims to be broke.

The toll it took on our marriage, and her subsequent marriage is incalculable.  Not only did it cause some issues with the "little dude" it made me not want to even be around her.  Simply stated, no matter my accomplishment at work, if I came home to discuss it, it was ALWAYS dwarfed by her.  She could not / would not see the issue.  I think it is larger than the article allows.

While I don't believe that she deliberately sabatoged our relationship, she failed to try to rectify a very demeaning situation.  (Oh, by "she made more than me" I don't mean $500 more per month, I mean double my salary, and I make a 6 figure salary.)

Is it possible to have a wife who makes more and be sexually happy?  Based on experience, I truly doubt it.

So, the article - a good read but nothing like experiencing it first hand, but ain't that always the way?

Marriage doesn't sound like a wise idea, when living that style of life.

Due to a somewhat similar circumstance with their wife and money.  I know, we  live in the enlightened age when that should NOT matter, but there is no denying the biology (both from the male perspective and the female perspective).  What can I say?  Men seek to be the dominant one in a relationship and I strongly suspect that part of the allure of the hobby is Men come into the room with "provisions" for the provider.  That is, the guy is "providing" support for the provider, if for only an hour or two at a time, but none the less, HE IS providing.  And the little lady is accepting of his gift as it is "how she is supported:"  instead of one man providing for her needs for all hours, she has a multitude of men, providing for each hour.

interesting - because of this, here we are.

Sounds like the income disparity was the focal point, but there were a lot of problems. My wife makes more than me.  I love having sex with her. It never crosses my mind as an issue in or out of bed.  Just psyched we have more money.

That said, I've had lots of career success too and it swings back and forth based on bonuses, equity in companies we work for, etc. which probably mitigates this effect a lot, even though last year she was 2x me.

That said, I do like some strange. Shoot me.  If she's fuckin a gigalo, good for her and I never want to know.

My guess?  Guys with rich wives are more able to -- and inclined -- to seek treatment. Also, independent women are more likely to push their hubbies to deal with it.

I am married to another physician who, being significantly younger than me, has spent much of our married life in more Junior positions than I held.  At times I made much more than she did but --her specialty being what it is and mine being mine-- most of the time she has out earned me, recently big time.  Never bothered me in anyway and certainly never affected my sex drive.

which makes the article all the more fascinating....  personally, I go with the article.
