I want to meet more female hobbyists.  By that I mean ladies who practice on the side.  Such ladies usually have longer time requirements of a few hours (minimum) and advertise fees of $1000+.  Of course $1000 sounds high, but hobbying has never been known as a cheap lifestyle.

This will mean that I will hobby at a much reduced frequency, but I feel that such a strategy might be more sustainable.

Has anyone else gone through such an adjustment or transition, or at least considered it?
If so was it worth it?  More satisfying?

At $250/hr, you can afford to screw up a date or not click and have a less than enjoyable time.  At $1k/hr or $5k-$10k per night you'll want to do your homework and be sure that you are going to have a good time.  It's usually a safe bet that you will because these ladies have a much higher reputational risk to consider, so they will go out of their way to make sure you have a great time, but it is still wise to do the extra credit work before hand.

Enjoy, because it's a total blast.

Everyone is different though. I, like you, also play in DC area, and in DC market you can get a good lay for $300-400.  I don't see any real advantage for going to more expensive lady. Sometimes, these expensive ladies create an ambiance that helps them command a higher fee, but personally speaking there is no marginal improvement in fucking or sucking skills of a $300 hooker vs $1000 hooker.

If I have extra $1000-1500 to burn, I will just go for an overnight session with wining, dining, and all night of fucking..

It doesn't necessarily mean more time in the sack.  Frequently, multi-hour dates involve dinner, an event, or something else social other than just fucking.

As far as women who charge more...that's not necessarily an indication of a better session or a hotter girl.  It really always varies.

A two hour session means dessert, talking for 45 minutes & the fun stuff for the rest of the time!!

I will either go for 1 hour or overnight.  If I have to talk about myself, couple of hours are not enough. I need the entire night to tell her how great I am.  

And a meal or event might be expected.  Part or all of that meal or event might be considered off the clock, though.

Then again, everyone's different so there is no absolute "right" way to do this.  Personally, I want to eat her, not necessarily eat with her.  I've had dinner and drinks with a handful of girls but always OTC. As for price, there is no true corelation between the rate, and looks/performance.  Lots of girls price themselves high simply to keep the bottom-feeders away.  It seems to work for many of them.

But if I did it all the time, it would no longer be special.

Plus, I'm a bit wallet-challenged as it is, so it really isn't that much of an option.

So, I mainly do 2-3 hour dinner dates, and I'm a happy camper.
