Just a quick questions. Has anyone found any connection between the number of times a provider's ad is read on the TER board and number of customers visiting.

For instance if 100 people have read the ter ad do 10 people visit. I know people may be seeing other ads or provider websites and coming to visit even without seeing the TER ad. But still just trying to get a sense.

On some of the websites that I'm on they offer a "stat" option that you can click on that shows how many people have viewed you. I like that because I see how much exposure that I am receiving for the money I spend  I wish that TER had that available other then the ad board. It's amazing how far all of these sites have evolved, and made it so convenient for both the gentlemen and provider to explore this wonderful industry.

An ad with a super sexy pic will get very high # of reads, not necessarily visits.  My urge to visit depends on reviews, price, location, my mood of the day...ect.

I'm not sure how we'd know about a sexy pic unless we already clicked ("read") the post ... unless someone posted a followup with Subject "Sexy new pic! You look great! (kiss, kiss, kiss)".  But there are occasional clues:

The paper clip means a hot link to a webpage - maybe worth a click as it might be useful and save me TWO clicks (Profile then Website or cut and paste non-embedded link).

Her own subject line might say "Pic inside", "New pics for you!", etc. Those might get more clicks.

Regulars here get to know someone's pattern.  ALWAYS a great pic, NEVER any pics, always good info (personal info, stats, tour dates, times, rates), never any stats or info ('check my website for calendar, rates, etc.).

NOTE: Everyone knows that EOM means there is nothing in the body of the message but "eom"s get a lot of clicks!!  In my case, I am sometimes on a slow connection so I automatically click the next post while finishing the current post.  Or sometimes I'm focused on a sexy pic and click the next post before reading the "eom" on the subject line.

Sometimes I click on an ad post knowing I will NEVER follow up with a call for the same (paying attention elsewhere, click anyway) reason.  (Her subject line mentions tour dates not good for me but I click anyway.  It's someone I know is super-elite, ie, super-expensive, but I click anyway. It's someone I know isn't my type because I've visited her Profile and webpage 1000 times, but I click anyway.)

As DTlover said: too many variables

My MN ad, 3 years ago had over 2000 views...I saw 4 clients in 6 days. My Memphis ads get less than 500 views, and I am booked (1-2 a day) every trip. Go figure. Same can be said for all the moronic jack off lookers who view our sites, and never book. I did on purpose to lock them out, and you would not believe the number of sudden inquiries I have for guys wanting to visit my city now. Yah right lol. Your average rate is a 150 backpage girl and I am supposed to believe that all of a sudden you're going to pay my rate, when I am nothing special or even better lookng than the women you've seen? Next...

Anyone who does pay-per-click advertising from Google, Yahoo, Bing or on many individual websites gets a couple of lines of tracking code to put in the code on their checkout page. When somebody clicks on the ad and buys something, it registers as a conversion, and the advertiser can see that.

TER could have a piece of tracking code for the providers who buy advertising. The provider would need to know how to install the code or have the company that does her site do it for her. TER could then give them stats on how many conversions they got from their ads. A conversion could be someone using the provider's Contact page to send an inquiry to the provider.

I don't know what the provider ads cost. Maybe it's not enough to justify having tracking.

Yes. That should be standard for just about anyone having website hosting (unless it's the super-cheap plans).

The tracking code, if TER had one, would tell you if someone who had used the Contact form on your site had just come from your TER ad. In other words, you would know that you just got a conversion (if that person booked) from your ad.

The analytics just tell you where they came from. Some may tell you what pages were visited, but it's rare to find an analytics program that will tell you where a visitor came from, which pages he visited, and if he used your Contact form.

Google, Bing, Yahoo and other pay-per-click advertising tells you how many clicks your ad got, what your cost is, how many conversions you got, and what your cost per conversion is.

Like Natasha, I can see even separate IP addresses that hit my site, as well as a compilation of the percentages from x sites and Unknown locations. I have a friend who can actually trace back to the damn person viewing her site lol.

It is this very fascination with statistical number crunching that helped create "Review score inflation" and all the surreptitious machinations in the Top 100's Top Ten aggregates.

Let's all just go see the ladies we think are sexually alluring, have a great fuck, and stop fucking with numbers!

I used to use a great IP tracker that would tell me where an IP address came from and the last page they visited. I use Google Analytics now which I find helpful in that I know in real time where people are coming from. As far as conversion to bookings, am I the only one who has a majority of callers mention where they found me?
