It’s simply not realistic, or appropriate for the vast majority of us to self lubricate for all of our dates. I think we’ve all worked pretty hard to dispel the idea that needing or even benefiting from lube means that we’re not into it. Some of us have medical conditions where our tissue is more fragile and/or drier, or we need it to avoid irritation. I use a LOT of lube. I use it for every act I engage in with every partner. So do I.
