My son arrived 6lbs 12.2 ounces healthy and hungry.   We are home from the hospital, doing great and recovering

they grow up to be teenage boys... and those tend to smell - my car now smells like a locker room!  they tend to be messy - have lots of gas...  and never buy their dad a cup of coffee!  (yea the kind that comes from roasted beans)  

they tend to not give you a lot of information that is vital to THEIR activities... and they are very much into electronic gadgets... and stuff.  

Never EVER reach into their pockets... prior to washing their pants... always have them do it!

Keep little sisters and sharp objects away from them... as something or someone might get broken.

Oh, and if you grow them right, it is fun to sit and watch the 3 stooges with them!  or take'em to a football game - cause they tend to get even more passionate than their ole man!!

but other than that, enjoy !   and congradulations!

Glad to hear that you and your baby are both home and doing well.

as you encourage your boy to walk and talk, because the next 16 years you'll be yelling at him to sit down and shut up.

Seriously, have a wonderful time with him.

nothing on god's green earth is more satisfying and fufilling than being their mommy.

I am pretty new to the hobby.   One of the spectacular women I have seen is also a mom (not reviewed by me yet…).  I will be seeing her again soon.  She obviously loves her children and is not shy about talking about her life with a “client”.  I was… well… “distracted” from talking about this much during our visit and I will probably be very distracted again – lol!  Anyway, I wonder how being a mom and a strong proud healthy woman plays out as your children get older.  What do you tell them about what you do?  What do you tell them about sex, love and relationships?  Parenting is a lot about conveying the wisdom of your experience – and mostly kids learn by observing what you do more than what you say – but also what you say about what you do.

Maybe there is a thread about this on the board already – didn’t find much besides Oprah when searched “motherhood” – lol!

I have been impressed with the thoughtful posts of several women on this board who, I believe, are moms.  What happens when you combine the hard earned wisdom of parenting and the wisdom of this biz?
