i remember a session with one repeat favorite. it did not start particularly well, way below her usual standard. so..... following an intuition about her divatude (that's diva + attitude for those who can't figure it out) and her penchant for theatrics, i did a little act: "oh baby, i am so unworthy of you. i'm so old and ugly. i'm not nearly rich enough to be interesting either."

boy did it heat up from there! i was "reassured" in a positively fantastic way. great session.

1. All this blubbering "hypersensitivity" with people "bitching & whining" about how they got their feelings hurt on a fucking discussion board
fer Crissakes ! If these folks can't take a few barbs on a discussion board, how do they handle stress in the real world ? I sincerely doubt if these "offending parties" ever encountered HS bullies in their youth ( as I'm sure many on this board have ). If they did, they would see,  the petty insults encountered on this board are NOTHING by comparison. Welcome to the fucking "nanny state"

2. People with low self esteem constantly whining : " I know I'm not a good-looking guy" or
"I'm too intimidated by a beautiful provider to see her". Jesus, get me a vomit bag & gimme a break !

I remember reading a book by a famed cognitive behaviorist shrink who stated " If you don't
have self-esteem PRETEND that you do".

Words to live by for some on this board.

Lastly, pictured below, is someone the board "wusses" desperately need to help "whip them into shape"------

BTW, I have asked my brother to approve all of his posts, just so he can't claim he is being "muzzled" or that he is not getting equal time to voice his opinions, no matter how pathetic they are. rofl

He looks just like my drill sargeant at parris island!!!!(and that's why i don't use an alias,us marine types have nads). You can thank me later, for defending our country !!!

You don't have "nads", you're just too cheap to spring for the twenty bucks a month for VIP

Got that right, don't think i'm gonna pay for this shit,do ya!
I can get the same abuse from my x-wife,for free!!!

intended or not. thanks for the chuckle!

Your Welcome!!!
Too bad the other boys don't want to play along!!! Ahhhhh!!!!

or at face value. it's only an internet discussion board. some very rare folks have so much self esteem that they enjoy the humor in pretending that they don't.

thinking one can reliably analyse the psyche of someone from their posts is usually delusional. the only purpose that amateur board psychoanalysis of other members serves is to generate more posts. ;-)

having met a few folks in real life that post on various boards (hobby, non hobby) the only generalization i think valid is that i usually find folks more likable face to face than on a board.

the problem with drawing conclusions about folks you have not met is that the person drawing them often projects many of their own issues and much of their own negative baggage into the evaluation of the other.

Texcat,,you hit the nail on the head!! (very good observation).
So if you'll excuse me for now, gotta go put some money in an envelope and find the hotel room!!
Ta! Ta!

So then how would you peg something like jack schitt?

he might be a mean and contrary cuss who can't help but leave a trail of fartleberries everywhere he goes. or he could be a really nice guy who just wants a little anonymous stress release. some folks in real life _have_ to be more nice than is good for them and then they blow off steam in peculiar ways.

one can play with a posters persona "as if" that persona were as stoopid or mean or as whatever as it seems. that's OK, healthy and a win-win for all. but if one drops the "as if" and deludes oneself that that persona is how the troll is and one engages them on that basis it might not turn out so cool.

its a sandbox. people post under alias to play with the board in some way that is good for them. most of the time it is to elicit the responses that they actually get.  _if_ they are so stupid that the responses are not what they expect, that's OK too. it's not my job to sort it out. i'm not a mod. thankfully not a mod. some folks are paranoid about mods and attribute all sorts of stuff to mods.

Don't believe everything you read on the boards or in a book, especially when written by a shrink.
Just call me Shorty, or Pee Wee.

"Columbo" routine.  If you want to get information from someone, you don't act like you have all the answers. You just kinda bumble and stumble around a bit. Or, if you truly need to win a fight, don't start out by trying to impressing your opponent, but rather take his guard down like Jackie Chan does it in the "Drunken Master."

you've mentioned two faves ;-)

It goes double for posters hiding behind another alias, so their botching and whining isn't traceable to their known persona.  They are beyond nanny state and firmly into psychotic state.  I imagine they wear ties that are perfectly camouflaged with their shirt, so your eyes are drawn to their bulging neck veins and lack of a full sack.

Excellent advice. I like you. You can come over and fuck my sister.

...aka "Gunny" is the same man in both the clip above "Full Metal Jacket," I belive) and the current Geico commercial, with some 20+ years in between. You can also catch him on the History channel on the program "Lock & Load," for any fellow firearms enthusiasts and watermelon killers.

Aren't too stupid or chicken to admit how lame they might be.

It takes balls to fess up. It doesn't take jack shit (not jack_schitt) to act like an ass-hat and pretend your king shit using an alias on a board where folks don't know who you are, even by your real handle.

I kind of doubt you really care that much about their self-esteem, except as an opportunity for self-aggrandizement.

By definition, when a woman brings you to her bed; she has deemed you worthy.

Whether she has decided you have to be built like a brick shithouse, as smart as Einstein or simply carrying an envelope with a fee doesn't change the fact that you've met her criteria.
