Disposable Income

Bordello69 made a reference to disposable income on the over 60 board which got me remembering a bit of math I did a while back. I was chatting, post coitus, with a $400/hr cute young thing who was telling me about a recent experience of hers. She was contacted by a rich guy who flew her to his home city and then had his limo drive her to his private compound.  She wound up charging him thousands of dollars for some private companionship.

It made me wonder though if this was a fair deal or not.  See, the guy in question is famous!  I knew who she was talking about right away.  So I looked him up on the web and found his most recent estimate of net worth.

Now, I know how expensive a $400 date is compared to my own net worth and disposable income.  Turns out, if this rich guy were going to spend the same amount per hour, relative to his net worth, he should have paid her $1.2 million dollars per hour! She should have asked for more!  Moral of the story, always do the math.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Firstly, you don't really know what he paid her.
Secondly, it's none of out buisness.

So let's just hope they both were happy with the deal and let it go at that.

She could have asked for more, but she asked for what she felt it was to make it worth her time.

Absolute constant in hooker math = Woman's prerogative.

I mean after all, he can afford it, right?

Do you have any idea how foolish you sound, and how there is almost no doubt that mrfisher is right about you?

Here's an idea, why don't you get a second job or go better yourself instead of "wishing" you had what the successful people have?

Moral of the story, get off your lazy ass if you want more out of life.

This one post just surpassed all of Turdy's, AF's, and other contenders' posts. If this guy doesn't get the stupid poster of the year, this sure is the stupidest post of the year so far!

oh let's say for grins $ 20MM but all is invested in growth equities...and no dividends are paid...and the dude makes only $ 12,000 a year in some other investments...

Should he get a discount since he would be considered a "poor" man based on that assumption.  Heck...paying someone $ 400/hr on only $ 12k a year would be quite a large percentage of his disposable income.

Yep...do the math  LOL

What's fair is that each party is able to negotiate a deal freely.  A willing buyer and seller and reasonable transparency are all that are required for the the transaction to be done freely.  If you feel the other guy should have paid a million for the same service you got for 400 you need to go back and retake freshman econ.

"Hm. Well, Mr. Gardner, I must admit that is one of the most refreshing and optimistic statements I've heard in a very, very long time." -- Pres Bobb

I think the math is quite easy, she has determined that her time is worth $400/hour. You travel to her, go up at the predetermined time, have a nice time with a cute young thing, then you leave. Everyone is happy. This guy flew her to his hometown and had her driven to his private compound (your own words) and then when their appointment was over she had to be driven back to the airport and fly back home, this is why he paid thousands.

When you pay for a lady's time it's generally expected that if you fly her to you, that you pay her arriving at her airport throughout her return to her airport. So it seems that he paid her what "he should have paid her", thousands of dollars sounds like a pretty good deal for this guy.

Discretion is paramount in the hobby, so it seems that she may want to talk a little less about her clients if you were able to figure out who it was.

Most importantly, it's his disposable income, and it sounds as if she was happy with what she was paid for her time.

Maybe we need a "progressive" hobbying code

There's probably lots of guys out there who can't afford $400 an hour. Should she charge them $100 or $50 or $10 an hour?

I thought about doing that for a second. Then I came back to my senses. Lol!

5 dollars a kiss, 10 dollars a booby, 50 dollars a thigh slap.  You could set up a register next to the bed and  click it as things progress.  Every once in a while, offer an early bird, all you can eat special and watch these old fuckers line up.

Guess you work in some field having nothing to do with basic economics?

Or you do a lot of blow?

Cheers.

Works that way for crack addicts.

I give up.  This was just meant to be amusing, nothing more.  Some of you guys take things much too seriously.  Lighten up!

I don't believe anyone took it seriously.

Do you?

I thought you were just giving the hounds a reason to fight over the girls by the reaction.

It was an entertaining thread... watching all the economics and finance majors fluffing up their feathers impressing their peers and even the hookers. :D

;)

Maybe write something a little tougher to grasp --- like sharing. :D

No one cares share here. To bare is another matter altogether
