What constitutes your time with a provider.  If you book 60 minutes and spend the first five taking a shower (alone) does that count as part of your 60 minutes, or does the clock start when you dry off?

If it is an outcall then the obvious custom is that she should not charge you as soon as ahe leaves home but from the time you invite her in. (barring arrangements for travel previously agreed upon and everybody being on time etc.)  Prudence would dictate that by the time she arrives you be fresh out of the box, neat and tidy, and as clean as you can be.  So if you shower after she gets there cuz your dirty, the cost is on you....better hurry!  Now if you are all ready clean and the shower is part of your fun...well that's on you too.

If you came to her place, then there is no way that she could see someone else while you are in her shower, now could she?  Further more, if that place is an away-from-home incall place that she has to rent (read hotel room) then it is even more costly for her. Now we all know that MOST of the lovely ladies in our dreams wouldn't book that close together.  That's disgusting.  But guess what, it's still her prerogative, so I say it's her time your dime.  But, in the case of outcall where you arrive clean as a pin and you just want to play in the shower as part of the fun and games....Hmmm...Nope she shouldn't pay for that either.

Guess that about covers it for me.  You show up dirty you pay. You know, it might just be the gentlemanly thing to do anyhow.  Still, I'll bet that there are some fine young ladies out there who wouldn't ask for that to be part of your time, but their just tryin to be nice to ya.

While we're on the subject, you might want to brush you teeth too.  It's a nice touch I'm told.

I always shower before she arrives I also have a brand new toothbrush and toothpaste for her.. I hate DFK and she tastes like I'm licking an ash tray ... I've never really had a clock watcher .... I always run over ... lol ... sometimes I mention the time when we get on the bed though ... I may say something like "let's see we need to be done by ...." and see how she reacts .... YMMV ... hobby well, hobby safe, hobby all you can be....

...a hotel room before my first meeting with a very special lady. Usually found a Motel 6 or something like that, just to take a shower and be able to get cleaned up. Then it would be off to her incall location. Did this for quite a few meetings with her.
This was all a new experience to me and I felt you only had one chance at a first impression…we still see each other regularly, but she let’s me shower at her place now, if she let’s me shower at all :-)

Be clean….

The key is to be clean even if it cuts into the hour. You will get much better attention if you are fresh clean & clean shaven. No heavy cologne either. I think the ladies have to put up with enough as it is so the least we can do is make it as pleasant for them as possible. I always try to shower within the hour, if not I ask if it is OK if I shower there. Or as a last resort, those little travel wipes can do wonders for you in an emergency and even fresh from the shower on a hot day it worth a stop at a service station a few blocks away. This and a friendly attitude has paid large dividends for this old fat guy!

There is only one exception I know of and that's a brothel in NYC, where your time does not start until after you've showered (if you do shower), and the lady enters and closes the door to your room.

But this is really the exception, unless the provider and you are old friends, or something.  But then the clock always runs a little slow, at least for me.

is if I rip your pants off to sniff your musk, get hooked and then sit on you to make sure you don't go anywhere. Tu cuerpo est mi cuerpo.

End of story.  Otherwise, mi casa est tu casa. Okay, I'll play fair ... Mi cuerpo est tu cuerpo as well - if you insist.

I don't count time taking a shower either before or after as part of the time paid for.  I'm not a clock watcher anyway and  leave plenty of time between appointments.  I would much prefer a freshly showered client and would not want him to be concerned about the time.

And I think you are in the right!  Most of the providers I have seen where I thought showering was appropriate (meaning more than 45 minutes in my car or taxi on the way to the appointment), have included the 5 minutes or so in the shower as part of our time together.  I agree that it shouldn't be.  But I'm a client and I never watch the clock.  One provider I did see insisted I take a shower (part of her security check!) and even then took the time off the clock.  Needless to say I didn't go back.  However, Suzanne, if I do get to SD..............

It would be my pleasure to have you visit me in San Diego.

I'm interested in your comment about providers including the 5 minute shower as part of your time together.  I wonder what happens at the end of your time, does an alarm go off?

At this particular place, depending on traffic, they really don't  watch the clock.  If you have exceeded your time, they'll gently let you know (a knock on the door), but they don't really get bothered unless they're backed up with clients.  But most of the time they have a pretty good handle on traffic.

Insofar as providers who include showering as part of the session, these are providers who usually start freshening up 5-10 minutes BEFORE the end.  Since I'm not real fond of this type of situation, and since typically I will book for 2 hours, or more, it doesn't matter, except that they've lost what I, IMHO, would consider to be a pretty good client.

Rowdy,
Thanks for the mention of the (heavy) cologne. Thankfully, I haven't had anyone wearing HEAVY cologne, but, I'm allergic to many fragrances, so usually prefer NONE - which includes scented deodorants, hairspray or gel, etc. I actually have not ever mentioned this to my clients, yet (usually just forget to), but have even had nightmares that I'm in the midst of an appointment, gasping for air because of his hair gel or something, and I would be absolutely mortified! LOL!
I, however, wear a number of scents, but I'm not allergic, obviously, to any of the fragrances I wear.
Also, on the subject of fragrance, since I normally wear perfume, I have felt badly when the Gent goes back to the office, or directly home, as fragrances 'carry' and 'linger'.
In another thread on this page, one man explains the length he goes to cover and protect his hobby (which is smart), and since I, too want to be careful FOR him, I don't mind if the Gents ask me NOT to wear any fragrance if they know their schedule means going back to work, or home.

Sweet thoughts,

Sedona
