With BP completely gone, and with CL having dropped its therapeutic section, there's an entire market niche of massage providers left without viable advertising options. I'm talking mostly about independent CMTs/LMTs and FBSM specialists who will never migrate to sites like Eros, Switter, etc. I'm a huge fan of massage and I'm hearing from my regulars, both legit and sensual, that business is down in a big way. I sincerely doubt the FOSTA-SESTA legislators stopped to think about the unintended consequences of their actions. Even accepting the argument that FBSM was one of their targets, they've done tremendous harm to thousands of legit, tax-paying, entrepreneurs. Just wondering what others are hearing/experiencing on this topic?

Technically there is not anything illegal about me maintaining a professional business I have a Linkdin with over 500 contacts, Yelp, there’s nothing wrong with me using my Facebook and I am professionally regulated by my board and state of IL.  I work marathon, triathlon, iron man events and excellent way to grow a professional business. That part of my business never had anything to do with BP or CL.
Alyssa Tantra’s business is quite different and frankly the new laws haven’t effected my business since I keep a very regular clientele.  I feel for those who might not be network savvy or be able to work legally but truthfully I put in a lot of education & timeto be able to work the way I do.

I don’t think you really understand how a professional massage business is run and marketed.

In my post I was writing as a consumer of massage services, not as an expert in providing them or marketing them. And the anecdotes to which I referred come from very real massage providers, both legit and sensual, who obviously don't have your level of expertise.

As you mention in your post, you have a level of education and experience which I would venture to say places you in the upper percentiles of the LMT population. So perhaps I should clarify my earlier post to make it clear that I'm referring to those lower percentiles who relied chiefly on BP and CL in order to attract clients. And those are the non-network savvy entrepreneurs with whom I think you and I share a similar feeling of sorrow.

It was how many ladies advertised till the local and state massage boards put new stricter laws in place. It's a felony in Florida to offer massage with out a license. For the time being I think many ladies will switch to that type of profile on twitter to be seen.  

 
I know of 5 licensed massage therapists in Florida who are actually providers. There are many options still for them to advertise with a lot more customers heading their way. Skype, twitter, yelp, facebook all have profiles where massage is a legal occupation.
