Cock rings

I'm in my mid 50s and have begun to experience some problems staying hard during the 2nd act with a condom. No problem with BBBJ or HJ, but the condom definitely creates some problems enjoying things so I'm planning on trying a cock ring.

My question is how to go about finding the correct size. I don't want to end up with gangrene, nor do I want to lose it somewhere. Any advice?

The general rules I've found are:

1) Use something that you can take off easily after your girth grows, and

2) Use it for a maximum of 20-30 minutes, then take it off for a bit.

There are a lot of rings made of jelly or silicone that are stretchy.  These are great for a variety of sizes and are easy to take off after.  They look small, but they are really stretchy, so they fit comfortably on even wider gentlemen.  At about $2-3 each at the local adult stores here, these are the cheapest and easiest.  A lot of people really like them.  Trojan even sells a jelly cock ring with a small vibrating bullet (great for both parties) in the condom aisle.

AVOID metal cock rings. They can be put on, but once you get hard and grow, they can be difficult to take off and may need to be cut off.

There are some (leather, strap etc) that have snaps for easy removal.  These are generally more pricey and not necessarily as comfortable for the gent, but some people like them.

The TIME LIMIT is for the health of the penis.  A cock ring limits the flow of blood to the penis.  The lack of new blood and oxygen can cause damage by killing the cells if you don't give a break every 20-30 minutes.  This damage may cause more difficulty with erections later on if you regularly leave the ring on for long periods of time.

I hope this helps,
Kassandra

I have 5 drawers full with toys of all kinds. I just love to try new things.

On cock rings, I probably tried them all.

Being an Oral Specialist, I use them a lot and I needed to find one cock ring that could be comfortable a fit for all my guys.

The Lasso is made of stretchy rubber and can be adjusted to any cock / balls sizes.

Is easy to put it on, and a breezy to remove too.

Here are some tips for you:
* get hard first, do not use when you are not. Cock rings blocks the blood flow.
* put the ring around your balls and cock, in a tight and comfortable fit. Your balls will hurt if is too tight.
* use for a max of 30 minutes! If you cannot keep your erection or can't cum after 20 minutes, remove the ring.
* always wash with hot water and antibacterial soap, let it dry well before storage. I like to use Lysol spray on all my toys after I wash and let them air dry.

If you have any questions about using the rings, contact me and I will try to help you.

Nerve's sexologist column is pretty hilarious.  Check out Reverend Jen's "scientific experiments" too.

Believe it or not, a simple O-ring that you can get at any hardware store makes an excellent cock ring.

I strongly urge you though, to be careful not to use a cock ring that is too tight. Over time, a cock ring that is too tight can cause small ruptures in the capillaries along the shaft, and can actually lead to even greater difficulty in achieving an erection without the use of a cock ring. You want a snug fit to help restrict blood flow, but not a tight fit.

I have been describing this design to several Toy manufacturers at Adult Expos over the last few years. I have been making these exact same thngs for at least 20 years.

Five bucks is cheap enough, but you can make them quite easily. Get a length of surgical tubing at any medical supply store and some craft beads at the hobby/craft store. It's best to sand or file any splintters from inside the beads. The slightest knick in the rubber will soon grown into a full failure.

Thin wall tubing works best. Experiment to your tastes but the medium diameter works best for me. I usually ties a small knot in the bitter ends to keep the draw from slipping off.

Your instructions are spot on, but a reminder that it should go around the balls as well.

Any oil based lube like baby oil will demonstrate that over time that oil does indeed break down any rubber it touches.

Here's one if mine. . .

Do you ever get little pieces of the wood knick you after its been washed a few times?  Maybe use some nice pink glass beads instead!  Pink is my favorite girlie color.  I guess they are not meant to be cute though, huh?

I do use a quality bead that is well lacquered. Since I'm the only one that ever uses them they probably don't get the same care and repeated or rigorous washing as a lady would give them. When they wear out (always the rubber tubing first) I just throw them away.

I will look for some non-organic beads next time. Good idea.

Does your hardware store care if you whip it out in the oring aisle to make sure you get the correct size or do they have a cock ring fitting room at your particular store?  Just wondering.

Have you considered a vibrating ring as an alternative to cock ring? I love it and depending on what you get, it can also act as a cock ring in some ways.

LOL hmmmm, well if you have to ask them if they have a larger O-ring in stock, you might get a standing ovation :)
