this was just a simple post to provoke a little discussion. But what it has provoked is a lot of defensive comments and some vitriol.
That phrase or something like it keeps popping up in reviews. It would seem to me if money was that tight, I would skip this hobby. Don't get me wrong, I'm a little bit of a value shopper, but I sure would not spend money on this if it impacted my financial situation. Discretionary income is the only thing that should be spent on the hobby. JMO
A girl a week when the budget is happy vs one a month when the budget is tight...or the girls are toothy.
I agree that necessities like bills and retirement savings have to come first. OTOH, I'm getting to the age where the term bucket list has meaning. Like many of us, I've been in a sexless marriage for a LONG time. An outside romantic relationship is not possible. I've given up some other hobbies to channel money into this one, I don't want to go out with the sexual part of my bucket list empty, so I've finally decided to see some of the ladies on this forum to help me check off some of those items on my bucket list and get some physical intimacy that is unavailable through "normal" channels. Bless you, ladies, for putting up with us older men.
As for my final exit, if it wasn't for the disruption it would cause so many people, I'd like to be in the arms of a favorite here, cum and go
and as PS opined, Why do you give a fuck about what I do with my money?
I am one of those people who believe I can never spend too much and life's little pleasures, my solution is to make more, not spend less. I am also one of those people who GIVE ulcers, and don't get them.
And I love the guys who pm others or post online about how they 'waste' their money. Just because they don't have the same budget or desires they always seem to know who another should see, what they should pay ladies to do and how much to pay them. Awesome.

is a pittance compared to what other spend on hobbies such as bass fishing, yachting, polo, or the hobby that i had before this one, casino gambling.
as long as you are amused, I have done my job, and if you aren't amused, well...........I am sure you can read my mind in that case.
I can speak only for myself, but I enjoy every penny I spend on this "Hobby" and I also enjoy posting my "shit" here as well. Any one who doesn't like it is free to either skip over my posts and to go fuck themselves, your choice, Or of course you can do both if it suits you.
Glory-fucking-hall-eee-luuu-yaaa!

After they milk the cows in the morning.
But part of the deal I had made with myself was to give my kids the opportunity to be as well equipped as I could get them to be.
And part of that was graduating with bachelors and masters with NO debt to start life. That was MY option to exercise. And yeah...it wasn't cheap to go to the schools they went to (private). Paying for that was a much higher priority to me than paying for any hobby in the world.
Watching them today they realize how fortunate they are compared to so many who are strapped with debt to start life.
We all have choices.
And I'll say that I recognize how fortunate I am and I don't take that for granted. But, I earned it and I'm still earning it today. I've worked hard to get to this level of comfort, in fact if anything my work gets in the way of my hobby by not allowing me the time to do what I want. For instance, I wanted to go to the AVN show in Vegas earlier this month and especially wanted to attend the M&G there, but a deadline kept me from taking time off.
I considered voicing my opinion of whether a person should hobby if they have an "as money allows" situation, but honestly it's none of my business how anybody other than myself spends their money
Clearly the whole budget and affordability topic is not going to go anywhere here. What I find more relevant, and personally challenging is the problem of liquidity. If you do not have a SO, or if you were smart enough to maintain perfect control over your cash inflow then this isn't a problem. My constraint isn't the budget. It's liquidity.
