Apparently you do not read arrest logs  Le uses BP for stings all the time.  3 in last 4 weeks in New England alone.  Use whatever venue you like, but they all have risk.  Some more than others

I still get the most response and the most business off of Backpage.

But, as a quality provider, I'm the one weeding through the garbage. I may get 5 to 10 responses from one ad and I just don't see any of them many times ("What's up?" is a deal breaker every time).

I just had a response last night from a guy who is on Preferred 411 and another local adult site we are both members of. I often get Date-check members, TER reviewers or white-listed members.

I don't know why they use Backpage when there are so many ads on these other sites where they are members, but they do. I even get verifiable travelers prebooking me weeks in advance by finding me with a Backpage ad, so it's not just because they are looking for someone "ready now" all the time.

I see other quality providers posting on there, too, many times amidst all the "$80 specials" and fake pics, so I know I'm not the only one who knows there are verifiable guys who still fish on there.

Convenience? Habit? I don't really care where they come from as long as I'm having a good time.

You will find a lot of stolen pictures. Even if one picture is stolen avoid the provider. Don't be surprised if the picture is from a model, lol.

I started by answering m4w CE posts (I started after the CL adult section was removed). I tried posting myself and after a time or two, your post would get flagged as soon as it went up. You are bombarded with 300 garbage emails all asking to prove you are real. It's a real waste of time. So, I would answer the m4w posts that had offers and that's how I got started.

But even now, on a slow night, I cruise the m4w posts and see if there are any offers that are worth my while (guys will posts pictures of money or even have a dollar amount in their post for a "visit" but they are usually the bargain hunters not willing to pay more than 100).

I recently answered an ad for 500 for a mutual massage. It was midday, a lot of fun and definitely worth my while.

There was a beautiful time on Craigslist where the people using it seemed to be of a more of an educated, tech-savvy bunch; and the BS, while present, was minimal enough that one could avoid it and still productively use the site.  I met many dear and beautiful friends during this period, some of whom I still give little envelopes to today.  Ahh, brings back memories.  Then it caught on, and the masses ruined it.  I'd love for the CL of 2000-2004ish to return.

Old school had to weed and build our Black Books(from scratch) like our teacher Madam Alex who hired my pal Heidi Fleiss back in the day. Nowdays everyone is lefted to expose themselves to a Potential backlash if people want to dig. Look at the chick from CL who became a school teacher after mingling on CList from 200?-2008 for extra bilzs. She was outed by a parent who workes for the school board. Apparently the female school board "marm" was suspicious about this college students former work while living in NYC.? CL may come back to haunt some who used their Real pics? Ladies beware......USA aint all that Land of the free and the Brave..
