So how many guys would opt for a new toy like this, given all the pro's versus con's?

So how many guys would opt for a new toy like this, given all the pro's versus con's?

200 years from now, it's year 2214. Lets assume it has become very hard to tell the difference between a real human woman and a robot woman.  They simply look REAL and YOU have a hard time differentiating the two.

Advantages of android provider:  
1) virtually disease free. You can't really catch anything from synthetic skin.  
2) per hour, she's much more cost effective to own
3) looks exactly like your ideal girl since you custom ordered (think: PERFECT 10, drop dead gorgeous head turner)
4) interchangeable face and parts (ie: adjustable body shape and face to YOUR ideal specs)  
5) she does not demand a nice wedding ceremony or an engagement ring, like human counterparts
6) performance like a machine (full open menu and she never gets tired if you don't want her to!)  
7) No in laws to deal with!

Android GF might cost anywhere from $5000 ~ $50000 to own. This is just a random guess but a price equivalent to an average modern car doesn't seem unreasonable when the tech matures for the masses. Monthly payment would be at most $300-$2000 for a few years. This is less than what some of us spend per month in the hobby. A human provider would no doubt still exist but she would charge an inflation adjusted equivalent of $400~ $500 / hr. Maybe a bit more, maybe less?

Seems it's obvious that far more guys would own an android mistress or two than be shelling out for a human provider or a wife. I'll get a few and have them do other work during the day and then come night time, cuddle in with two or three.  My human girl friend / wife can join in if she's open minded enough to party. Not sure why I'd want a human GF or a wife at this point though? One human woman seems enough, no? ROFL

Just pick a general personality type and you have it...

Or opt for a random bipolar BSC personality, if that's what you want. Bigpapasan seems to prefer BSC.  I'd flip the BSC switch on from time to time if the bot gets too boring, but only if I have the remote on/off switch next to me at all times. rofl

I've posted about this before.  Combine Google Glass/Siri-type intelligence (which in fifteen years' time, will be so advanced that it will basically know what you want before you yourself know) with 3-D printing (projected forward fifteen years) and you're already there.

And Yeah, I don't see the upside in having a relationship with a "real" woman in such a scenario, either.

(As long as I can turn the BSC button on and off at will ;) )

Sounds idealic

How about the ladies? Would they opt for a male android and not bother with with the real thing? Able to have "him" custom made with the exact penis size, great tongue skills programmed just to her liking etc.  

Not so good for her business but IRL maybe?????

This is only conjecture, but wtf.

If modern life had not become as dehumanized as it has, providers would be less of a novelty, less prevalent, and less sought out. People would just enjoy each other and exchange money for other services. Making our lives EVEN MORE alien to human interaction will...

A) make hookers seem more desirable?
B) kill the male sex drive altogether?
C) curb population explosion?
D) all of the above?
E) none of the above, we'll just get used to it?
