Just read somewhere that guys will pick up a provider at a bar. The only place I think where a lady is working the bar really happens is in Las Vegas, television, and the movies.

Just check out the hotels by major/international airports. Hit the bar and you'll come across a lady or two. It's not Vegas style and it'll be very low key.  
Think about it,  a lot of girl "host" by airports. So if they have free time, they'll hit the bar....and voila..look what I found.
I accidentally while waiting for a friend, came across one lady at a hotel by LAX...And I didn't take her up on her offer.

I had a friend who used to hit the hotel bars and piano bars after work. He wasn't the most handsome guy but he could really charm the women. He was a talented musician so he could sit down at the piano and use music to set a tone and open up a discussion. I have no direct knowledge, but he told me that he was a frequent scorer. AFAIK, these were all one night (or one hour) stands with civvies, not sealing a deal with a pro.

I believe there are still a few that do work the BARS. Which is very good idea.

My experiences in Vegas and Dallas included this back in the day.  Picked up a few ladies at MGM, Mirage and Paris within the past 20 years.  The Crescent Hotel in Dallas was famous for this back in the 90's and spent many dollars with these ladies of the night.  

I would say maybe it happens, but I would say not that often as it is just not time efficient. The internet has really changed the industry. The last time I was in Vegas I did not see one person trying to pass out the little "gal cards" that the city was infamous for. Also street walking does still happen, but really not that often anymore, as there is just not a need. You can go online now to a plethora of escort ad websites and with a few clicks you can schedule a date. The hustle still exists, but the landscape is very different now.

I would think a working girl would go out of her way to get gentlemen's notice.  That would be quite different than a girl just out on the town.  So if some chick expressed interest in me, it would almost certainly signal that she's a working girl.  So they shouldn't be hard to spot.  

A real working woman of leisure can hook a date anywhere it does not have to be a bar.

Can attest and confirm. In fact I’ve had some quite fun times during my stays in NYC especially at the King Cole bar. Will never forget buying that French 75! Great thread!!

Poor it on. LOL. In high school and for a couple of years after that, nothing worked as well for me, and beat out the strong competition one notable time, than whistling to a guitar solo, note for note. I was, as the girls told me, 'cute.' But cute ain't much and being stand-out good at something (there were other things. lol.) has no equal. Later in life, being stand-out good at making money was all that mattered for us not-devastatingly good looking. I could've been better at that one...
