Censorship?

Be aware that TER will censor / delete threads that they don’t like. So much for being a free exchange forum.

TER is a moderated forum.

Each board have a brief description of its purpose and the usual disclaimer. General Board says, "Welcome to the TER General discussion board. This is a moderated forum dedicated to discussing the hobby, erotica, and sex related subjects. Please note, flames and posts outside of the forum topics will be removed."

The Boards are exactly what TER claims them to be -- moderated -- not what you want them to be.

If you want to participate in the forums, you’ve got to learn how to play by the rules. Don’t try to repeatedly break them or you will end up perma-banned, like one of the posters over at Politics & Religion. They not only banned him, they deleted every post (numbering in the thousands, he was #1 volume poster there) he ever wrote!

Even beyond that, the ToS states (or somewhere if not there) everything that is submitted/posted to the site becomes TER's property. If it's theirs they can clearly do whatever the fuck they want with it. For those that don't get it, it's called property rights.

Go ahead and search. I'll wait.

Give up? Good, 'cause it doesn't say that. The site "encourages freedom of expression", but reserves the right to monitor and delete anything on the site. Which is their right, given that this is a privately owned forum.

Some deletes are odd

Years ago my post got deleted for a Rocky and Bullwinkle reference. (Why??)

More recently my post got deleted where I used the word transfenestrate -- it's a real word, I assume they thought it meant something else -- considering the current wokeness.

You just never know. Not worth it to worry about it.
