Of course you can never know how many are supporting drug habits, but I haven't seen much evidence of that, so I'd have to say the main bulk of long term providers consists of chicks who make more money that way than typical office jobs.

It's not to say they are rich, but just that it is a higher source of income than working regular hours. Many of them have work from home jobs too, so they have a regular income even if sex work is a bit irregular.

Your 65% substance abuse number is separate from your other categories.
According to NIH, you would find some substance abuse in each of your other categories (Love Sex, High Dollar, Trafficked)
A more realistic breakdown would be to list your three categories minus substance abuse, and then estimate what percentage in each category suffers from a substance abuse problem.
Really you should have listed one additional category, Financial Desperation, and then assign a Substance Abuse level to each category.
i.e.
Love Sex (10% are substance abusers)
High $, Low Volume (10% substance abusers)
Trafficked/Pimped (75% substance abusers)
Financial Desperation (75% substance abusers)
How did "scammers or being trafficked" get lumped together? What's your breakout of that group?
And the wording of the "abuse" category... How long have you been doing this? Think about the girls you've seen. You still want to posit that %65 of them were driven to this by an expensive habit or keep doing it because they developed one? I've only met one in that category, and that could only be said for the first part of her career.

I would agree on 65% of the lower levels are substance abusers probably higher. The first thing this thread brings to mind is Skipthegames type advertisers. For the higher rated 8-10 TER girls I would think less likely, keeping track of multiple clients, endless travel along with keeping CSI or TER scores high requires a lot of hard work and commitment to there profession. Nothing great in business comes easy.
