eally want to sign up for VIP but no option available besides a credit card - which I will not use.  P411 has several options.  What's up TER?  What are you doing to fix this problem?

Been a VIP member for a while but had used Trust Cash to pay to stay under the radar.  Now that is not an option I see that they are saying you can use a pre paid credit card.

Anyone use one successfully?  If so...which one?

Both come with the expiration, security code, and when you register it, just use fake name, addy, and phone.

it was rejected because they no longer process international transactions, as of March 2012. So I used Trust Cash, but that's no longer available.

Has MasterCard worked for anyone? I'd rather not go out buying cards in hopes they work, so I appreciate the feedback, if anyone as used one successfully.

are heavily associated with adult sites so if your SO finds it on the statement and has any common sense, she may wonder what adult services you purchased. Yes, they work but if you have a nosy SO, it could look suspicious.

Disclaimer: The NSA is reading this message and tracking every internet purchase you make so be afraid, be very afraid. :-) Don't make any phone calls and don't buy anything and you're probably somewhat safe, lol.

just buy a MasterCard gift card and see how it works, b/c from their website, it looks like I can make international purchases.

It is easy if, you know the format

First Three Digits are area numbers which is based on the Zip Code of the address. Most probably the Zip Code of the Hospital you were born

The next two digits are Group numbers and they are assigned as follows:  

The range of group # range is 01 to 99. But, they are not assigned consecutively but are assigned as follows:
ODD numbers from 01 through 09.
EVEN numbers from 10 through 98.
EVEN numbers from 02 through 08.
ODD numbers from 11 through 99.

The last four digits are Serial Numbers. They represent a straight numerical sequence from 0001-9999 within the group

There are also special numbers which will never be allocated:
Numbers with all zeros in any digit group (000-##-####, ###-00-####, ###-##-0000).
Numbers with 666 or 900-999 in the first digit group.[30]
Numbers from 987-65-4320 to 987-65-4329 are reserved for use in advertisements.

So, it is entirely possible to transpose your own SS# and make it go through the validation process which is often provided by third party companies.

Register with a completely bogus name and address but you must put in the correct zip code. Zip code is used to prevent fraud on-line and is tracked to the store to make sure you are within reasonable distance of the store.  

You cannot use a per-paid without registering on the web site.

First, you never know who might be reading the General Forum: LE, FBI, Governors, Bankers, Senators, Ambassadors, Congressional aids ... maybe even TER Admin!  

Second, since I'm usually in my local forums and only drop by General once in a while, I thought it might have come up in an earlier thread (in the General Forum) that I just plain missed in my quick search.

Same here.  I'd love to join but can't use Vanilla debit cards.  TER needs another method.
