In my two years of hobbying, I only have had two providers that NCNS and three last minute cancels or reschedules.  The two providers that NCNS on me both contacted me later on after the missed appointment with "I got into a car accident."

I am just curious what other excuses are out there besides "car accidents."  With the numbers of providers I have seen including K doll incalls, thats about a 10% "car accident" probability with providers then.  Thats awefully high chances of providers getting into car accidents then.  What are some excuses you have heard if they even bother to contact you?

"Sorry...I overslept"  which came via text an hour after the scheduled session time.

And she offered another session the next day...I agreed but this time I didn't move an inch to meet her.  And guess what...no call from the BCS hooker!

I can see the plane excuse being OK...but the phone?  And falling asleep?

The pros don't let that crap happen....just saying!

Two never called back, one did have a car accident (A saw her a few months later and saw the bruises.), one said her plane came in late and then her cell phone died, and one fell asleep and had the ring tone on her phone shut off.

Shit does happen, but fortunately, not too often.

He couldn't call the woman w/ whom he had an appt! He called her the next day to appologize  & tried to set up another appt! She didn't believe him, but he persisted & sent her copies of hospital bills!! She then realized he was telling the truth & eventually she became his ATF!! So, on very rare occasions unavoidable circumstances  can & do happen!

I think the best one was ......"I overslept "............ for 12 hours......in the middle of the day.

I'm sitting in her parking lot, and my phone rings...she says not to come up, her bathroom has been taken over by fruit flies -- she says they are everywhere.  We never did get together, though I got a couple of emails two days later offering a free session.  I happen to live a thousnd mles from her and I am a little nervous about fruit flies, so no followup on my end.

the one i get all the time is 'i'm under the weather'..every time i check the weather..it looks fine..

I got this text about 4 hours after a missed appointment.  
"I am so sorry!  My crazy ex-boyfriend showed up and..."  (I don't remember the rest, nor even care.)

This one is my favorite though.  I showed up at her incall, she didn't answer the door for 10 minutes, but I could hear her walking around inside.  Then I get this text: "I think you are really a cop, I can't go through with this"

I have never been accused of being a cop before, why couldn't she accuse me of being a pizza delivery guy or at least accuse me of being the guy who is there to fix her cable?

When I finally got through to her a day or so after our agreed upon time came and went with a NCNS, she said her mother suddenly arrived at the airport and needed a ride.  

Come on now.... who's mother would book a flight, get to the departure airport, hop on a plane and suddenly show up outside at the passenger arrival area without making some kind of pre-arranged ride or place to stay?  

Jeeesh!!!!  She could have come up with something better than that..... like the dog ate my homework?

Several months ago, I went to see a new lady and had a very similar experience which I was able to turn into a Win-Win situation. When I arrived at the motel and made the second call for room number, she refused to give it to me for fear I was part of some trap! (Does my voice sound like I'm a policeman?! What does that sound like - Sgt. Joe Friday?!). Anyways after a half hour of several futile attempts at repeated calls and hang ups or no answers, low and behold, there in front of me, as I sat in my car, appeared another lady in a doorway that I recognized from one of the online sites! I called out to her then chatted her up. Apparently, her next client was missing in action: had gotten lost and couldn't find her motel and/or room, or perhaps had gotten cold feet... but a definite NCNS for her. I explained my predicament and we commiserated with one another for a few minutes over our mutually bizarre recent experiences. Not one to miss a target of opportunity, as she was turning around to go back into her room, I asked her: "Sooo, what are YOU doing for the next half hour?!" Neither the suggestion nor the moment were lost on her, and we had a few laughs and a fun time over that next HHR as the other provider's loss was her (and my) gain!

but in any case, they constitute a small fraction of the many fine gals I met, so I'm not going to carp about it.

The point is, some shit is always going to happen.  We just have to accept that fact and move on.

I do not care what happened but there is NO excuse for a provider NCNS. I have been doing this for a few years and I have had, sadly relatives pass away, family emergencies, illnesses, car trouble, and one time I had to take my dog to vet and I had an appointment later that evening. The dog was 14 years old and had taken a turn for the worse and she wasnt coming out of it, it was her time and I had to put her to sleep. I had to cancel my appointment. My point is even with all of this, I had a cell phone so I was able in some way to communicate with my client.

 One time, and one time only my iPhone for some reason cleared out the entire call log and my messages. I had an appointment set up and the guys contact information on my phone, but that didnt ruin it for me because I am a pro. I had it written down somewhere.

My point is, I have a phone, an iPad and a laptop. If anything happens and I have to cancel or reschedule I will let the guy know. There is NO reason why I cant shoot anyone a quick text or email alerting them of any changes. We are so tuned in with electronic communication there really is just NO excuse. I value and respect other peoples time just as much as my own.

an excuse is really not necessary? it wont change anything anyway.

just a call/email/text that proivider/hobbyist can't make the appointment should suffice.

NCNS are a little different. it should be punishable by not rescheduling but of course some will make exceptions.

who I really wanted to see.  Books a couple of weeks in advance & confirmed the night before.   Never heard from her again, though I see she's still getting reviews.  I would have appreciated a simple "Plans changed, I can't see you."  She's no longer on my bucket list...  even if it was free!  I will not waste an opportunity on her again.  

Reschedules have happened on both sides, ussually a sudden weather emergency.  

My #1 Fav, I had advance booked with & I usually confirm when I leave as it is a lengthy drive.  She answered her cell...  was rather criptic...  she was out of state.  Literally on her way to her sister's funeral who had died suddenly.   (Sister had almost completed chemo for BC when she passed without warning!  You can't make up a story like this.)  She was clearly still distraught when I saw her next...   and after that as well...
