I tried 5 different CCs tonight, plenty of limit left on all of them, only to get denied on each one.  Is this the norm now?  I guess I'll have to go the gift card option.

why they are getting declined. I know I've had purchases that were online but with foreign businesses on their payment platform get held up -- with a message saying the bank declined and to call them -- which was really just a fraud check not a flat out decline. Called the issuing bank and the released the hold and all was good.

got declined and had to call the bank to inform them it was a legitimate charge I wished to make. It went though after that.

Are these your regular CCs? Or are these prepaid CCs "with plenty of" money balance left on them?
.
Anonymous Prepaid CCs in the US cannot be used for international transactions (TER / CC Bill is in Europe?). That's been the case for at least 5 years.  The law is intended to make it more difficult to send money to TERrorist Organizations :-) . If you register the prepaids with your SSN, valid address, etc., the charges might go through.
.
If you are using your regular CCs, your bank / CC company might have a policy of blocking international transactions unless you give them specific (telephone call) authorization.

I had the same problem on cards I've use before. Admin told me to keep trying but to use the same card. They extended my VIP until it went through

Renewed my TER membership in Dec.  The transaction was denied, but I simultaneously received text from the CC carrier as to validity of the purchase.  If I agreed that I had initiated the purchase, I was to resubmit, and all would be well, which it was.  I think the issue is that it's a transaction out of the states, which automatically throws up a red flag.  Had the same thing happen in the past when I've renewed, so it's not something new.

I cleared the credit card on my end, since it was charge from Cypress.  It seems the TER  credit card processer is declining the charge.  I just emailed TER and waiting for a response.  I wonder TER's revenue.  just curious

I’ve had the same problem. Multiple cards always the same. It gets rejected. Its not on the banks end as I’ve checked. Just won’t go through. No idea
