What constitutes being a hooker a profession?
As I've said before...just being born with a pussy qualifies GG to phuck men. Where is this supposed to translate into some type of profession? And using finance, sales, marketing and so on as your backup for this...how? Are you suggesting that what the kids under 10 who can also (and many do) create and maintain sites...utilize social media...maintain their lunch money are somehow inferior to hookers who finally learned this amazing skill? LOL Being a hooker is a choice. Nothing more.Let's see ... finance, sales, marketing, public relations ... yep, I'd say that many hookers are capable of having several professions outside of sucking your dick. It's the fact that they can make so much by being really good at all of it that makes them exceptional women.
I crack up reading the posts suggesting that this is somehow a profession. Billions of women have sex daily, as do men. I don't believe anyone honestly thinks that there is some secret to phucking. Nor do I see many getting accredited for this
millions of people also file their own taxes, and they're neither accountants nor, tax preparers.
So you agree with me...that hookers are just women who have no skills aside from sucking cock?
Or perhaps they are qualified to teach someone something?
Nah...they're just women who have no other qualifications.
Yeah...it still cracks me up.
I don't have a problem with you stating that sex work is not a "real" profession nor do I give a shit whether someone thinks it is or isn't.... but once you start claiming that we "have no skills besides sucking cock" then it becomes obvious that you're a troll and that you do not respect the very women your seeing. Not only that but if you've read and or participated in any of these threads you would have read that most of us have an education and we have other means of income. So no we don't do this because we are not skilled in other areas....
. that's just ignorant...
Don't waste your time explaining him that. He already made up his mind. If you read one of his other posts in this thread he writes, and I quote "I feel like..." His gut feel seems to be enough for him to make such claims. You can't have a constructive discussion with people like that. He didn't even understand my post about his troll OP. Oh well. Profession or not a profession... That's the only venue where he can get laid anyways. So he's one of those assholes to bites the hand that feeds him.
xoxo
..to another troll post.
billions of people spew sh!t on a daily basis. that doesnt' mean they're assholes.
on second thought....
Are there sheepskins being given out for being a professional asshole?
And if so, how many CPE hours are needed per annum to maintain those credentials?
I pay my local asshole association the dues as prescribed...do you?
on second thought....
it sounds like something I said.
Last night I met up with my art school type and we were basically having this discussion. She's in her sixth year of art school and finally figuring out it may have all been for naught.
I really do like this girl as she is sweet, hot, no stop signs but a bit...um...dumb.
Last night she asked me if I wanted her to make me a late night sandwich and I said sure, how about a BLT?
She asked me what goes in it. Ugh...I told her nevermind. She made me toast instead. But I digress.
She's is now thinking to hook full time. Trying to talk her out of it as she is only capable of restaurant hostessing but even then, she might not find her way back to the stand after she seats someone.
So maybe i am wrong and it is a profession. It's really the only thing she does well. I've explored a great bit of her bod, and her mine.
No rimming of course
a lot of it ability to sense the needs of another person , passion and care
there is a reason guys pay so much per hour, if they just wanted to pay for basic generic action they would get 80$ special from backpage lol
good providers provide more than just o
I doubt it
I doubt it.
But then there was that thread recently where doubt was raised about your having a brain. If that is indeed the case, I apologize for my insensitive remark.

Your reply confirms what many have thought for a while.
Maybe one day you'll find some balls and actually ask a woman to go down on you...without having to pay for it.
Then a whole new world will open up to you.
Or just stick with paying hookers to lie to you. That's the safe route Alan.
I'd like to learn more about the accreditation of this profession.
Maybe then I won't LOL when I see the posts suggesting that there really is some type of advanced skill set needed to phuck.
I watch Maury...sure doesn't seem like many (as in none) of those women had to take courses in phucking to have kids. And the guys...they're a riot too.
BTW....if there was any real skill to phucking...how do you explain all those souls that are on welfare?

the reviews on here are our accreditation...

Given the number of complaints from hookers about the fake reviews here...I certainly wouldn't be so sure that showing reviews is an accomplishment. It certainly doesn't lead to an accreditation either. Unless someone has started a college to award hookers sheepskins for their reviews?
Maybe you should start that college
i have never heard providers complain about good reviews
Maybe you should start that college?
Many here think a provider can be fantastic with only possessing great oral skills and offering up their cooch.
I don't have any "needs" that need to be met by a hooker in addition to those.
Sorry to dissapoint but the other things you mention are meaningless and in fact, actually worthless to me
I found my most recent ATF, on BP she didn't compare to the professionals as far as menu and skill, but she delivered a much more passionate session than any oro I was ever with... her being a 22 year old spinner didn't hurt either.
It boggles her mind that a BP girl could provide what you want.
She can't be a "good" provider for she doesn't meet your other needs, whatever the fk they may be. LOL
fat vern you are showing more depth of character on this thread than i've ever seen from you.
are you drunk?
Hey Bob, its the worlds oldest profession.
And Adam a john?
Not at all. Didn't say it started with them either. No money changed hands, no envelopes at that time
Were you there?
Maybe hiding in the bushes?
You may have been the first voyeur.

But seriously...you honestly think that most hookers make more than minimum wage (when annualized net of direct costs)?
Come to think of it now...seems that Doctors are headed in that direction as well.
Those TSA Agents however...big bucks in the overflow shit people leave at the terminal. And those TSA Agents know how to use Ebay.
The Chemical Engineer asks: How does it work?
The Chemist asks: Why does it work?
The History major asks" Would you like fries with that?
I see that being in a profession requires some skills.
And since nearly every human is equipped to phuck...how could phucking possibly be a profession?
The Chemist asks: Why does it work?
The History major asks" Would you like fries with that?
Who asks: Your thoughts, if any?
How could I forget him?
...I'm just glad that I can support the oldest profession. 😎

Seems like most still come equipped at birth with the requisite skills to reproduce. Fortunately most just prefer to practice this...and most never ever charge for this. Maybe that's why some think that there's a profession here?
Nah...it's the guys that prefer to pay for it. But then going to the market and buying shit doesn't make that a profession...does it?
SHE'S HOT
Thanks 'Senator'
and now, back to our banter thread.....
You're pretty hot yourself...and I wish I lived closer to bean town. 😎
I looked for a guy for you, but this gal caught my eye... Wow! 😎
There are at least 3 qualifications: It is an occupation, you must get paid for it, and it usually requires specialized training or skills. Some people include some formal qualifications, I do not. If you accept the basic three, of course it is a profession. It is a paid occupation that requires special skills and talents. I have been amazed by the skill of the better providers, their ability to get inside my head and touch me in special ways.
Seems most females have that same skill set. Is there something that I am missing?
And most females don't charge for BBBJ or PIV.
Certainly not the one's that are on Maury anyhow. Nor the one's that I see everyday sporting a baby bump either. Nor the one's that are married. Nor the one's that are single.
Seems like only a very small percentage of women resort to hooking.
So again...how does that equate to a profession?
the special skill not to be an asshole, for one, and to not piss off everyone just because they aren't getting what they think they deserve from life.
Those who have never done sex work have no concept of what actually goes into our jobs. It is so much more than just spending a few hours per week in bed. The vast majority of my job is admin: responding to emails, keeping track of my income and expenses, analyzing website hits and ROI of my ads on various websites, blogging, etc.
I am shocked that certain men (trolls) on this site can have so little respect for the services they pay for. So little regard for the women who labor every day to meet your needs. When you say it's not a "real job," that all we need to do is spread our legs, you reduce us to nothing more than holes. My only wish is that you wouldn't hide behind an alias, then all the providers on this site would know what a piece of shit you are, and can make the choice to not see you.
Sex work is real work. I blogged in depth about it at the attached link.
Open your eyes.
But there are no reviews with that handle either...so I doubt that will be much help either.
Sorry you interpreted my OP as having NO respect for hookers. I simply asked if hooking is a profession. You clearly feel that it does...and cite some reasons you believe that to be true.
However, I still feel that a profession is one that requires some skills outside of the anatomy that you and every GG was born with.
As for handling some day to day issues like emails/texts...tracking income/expense. Most kids are doing that on a daily basis too. And in many cases are much more qualified to handle that "work" than most hookers over age 35 IMHO. I guess you don't see the young kids and how well versed most are with technology?
But I don't believe that knowing how to text or reply to email is a profession either. Simply something that many people do on a daily basis.

I did an internet search, read multiple definitions, and according to some of them a "profession" is not the same as a job, an occupation, or being a small business owner.
Here are a few:
Oxford Dictionaries ~ a paid occupation, especially one that involves prolonged training and a formal qualification
Merriam-Webster ~ a type of job that requires special education, training, or skill
Cambridge Dictionaries Online ~ any type of work, esp. one that needs a high level of education or a particular skill
The Free Dictionary ~ An occupation or career
So, if one is ONLY going by the first two definitions, then Bob's not wrong. (Grrrrrrrrrrr!) This business does not REQUIRE any special education, training or skills.
BUT! The good ones DO need to have a particular skill set. That's what MAKES them good at what they do.
Yes, anyone with a hole (or pair of hands) can put an ad up on BP or elsewhere and make some money.
Those individuals are not, in my opinion, engaging in a "profession" but are simply performing a basic service. And there's nothing wrong with that! There's a client base for everyone.
However, holes for rent are not the same as high-dollar courtesans. If they are to you? Well, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, no matter how obnoxious I may find it.
My point, and I do have one, is that there are many different types of sex workers. Many, if not most, of the providers you'll see posting here on TER do have "special skills" that qualify them as "professionals".
xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxooxoxxoxoxoxoxox
I'd be curious to see what specific courses they need to get their accreditation.
Or perhaps it's nothing more than smoke and mirrors....along with a website explaining that she's a world traveler and Ivy League educated?
Sorry Deb...nice try on the deflection.

And that's all I have to say about that. :-P
Still would like to know why holes for rent vs. courtesans qualifies the courtesan being in a profession.
Seems like it's the exact same result. You can use whatever names you'd like...P4P is sex for money.
Even if some dudes just want to pay someone to listen to them whilst nekkid

Just as you are expressing yours, and as repulsive as it may be to me, that doesn't make you wrong.
If it's your opinion that a person offering a no frills blow-n-go is the same as a highly paid courtesan, then so be it.
My opinion is that the two are NOT the same; that offering what a courtesan provides, or hell, even what I have to offer...... DOES require a specific skill set that the stereotypical quickie-session types do not employ.
You don't agree? You are going to stick to the bare bones of the fact that one does not NEED any specific training, education, or skills in order to be a sex worker? Again, that is correct.
Your OPINION on the matter is clear. ![]()
...and not to much into the real world application ones.
Of course when I sent her a different definition of "political correctness" than the one she possessed, she went into the witness protection program and ran from that argument. LOL
according to some unnamed website....... Based on the potential to rack up 10's and market recognition on TER, obtain airbrushed Aldo's that would make a roadkill squirrel hard, and jack fees up to the equivalent of international lawyers, I'd profess that the oldest profession is definitely a profession.
Or less cynically, a woman who organizes her own marketing, performs her own screening, obtains her own work spaces, manages client encounters safely and to ensure repeat business, pays her taxes, and eventually retires with $$$ in the bank and a roof over her head, is a professional.
And the ones that qualify under your example typically started out with agencies.
So I see that you feel that if a hooker can maintain a site, conduct email/texts, rent a hotel room/apartment and use TurboTax that makes her a professional.
Thanks for the logical answer.
Live long and prosper!
You ignited this entire thread just to plug TurgidTax.
is to plug TurboTax. Without his H&R Blech franchise filing short forms for folks at $600 a pop, he'd be broke.
That they mean that's how they earn their living. Do you also "crack up" at professional football players or professional poker players? I can't decide if you are a troll or a retard. Trolltard?
Edit: I almost forgot the best one, Professional Asshole.

And you are dumb.
The best part of this is that I know how capable I am of anything I put my mind to. The best part is that the fact that you think women like myself are nothing more than good for fucking bothers me only to the point to respond to this thread. The best part is that when you have another brain aneurysm, I'll be the one there to make sure you don't die.
What's the equivalent of dick-envy?
As is every thread B S contributes to.

... And if we can have professional football and baseball players without college diplomas, then courtesans who make their living by applying their superior physical and mental skills should be also considered highly skilled professionals. Anyone can throw a ball, but not like Tim Tebow, many can swim, bit not like Michel Phelps, in the same way many women can fuck, but not like Tobi Telford.
By definition, a professional is the person who earns a living by exercising a particular set of skills. This review board is to the sexual profession what LinkedIn is to the socially accepted prude jobs.,
truth
Is this a 'real profession'? Most seem to make their primary income from hooking. They can be branded 'unprofessional' for not meeting certain work expectations. There are skills such as massage and BDSM that offer classes and training. And some take their work as seriously as any doctor. I would call this their 'real profession', just as I'd call their cover story for the outside world their fake profession.![]()
Its a source of income
Not a profession
For the record
I could give a fuck less what you call it
Is being a John a real hobby?
Just like fishing?
LOL! I think we can all agree.
One is to "eat what you catch", the other is to "catch and release"
Being a john allows you to do both.
and while we are on the subject, Do you know what is the difference between meat and fish?
If you beat your fish it will die.
Rotfl! Love the joke...on that note, yes, if it's fishy, mmmm, lol.
I suppose fishing and hobbying is another great term...Gone fishing! lol
Self Employed without medical and retirement benefits..No guarantee of study hours/work.
is there some certification board you can pay dues to in exchange for a gold embossed piece of paper to frame and display prominently proclaiming you professional status a troll extraordinaire ?
your bridge must be resplendent with all the continuing education certificates you're amassed in order to maintain your credentials...
Now hurry up and get those tax deductible dues in now while there's still time.
Know what the secret is? You're willing to pay hundreds of dollars an hour for it. Repeatedly.
What cracks me up is providers who have done little more than put up a website with sexy pics making hundreds of dollars an hour, while CPA's go through years and years of expensive formal training; getting certifications for accreditation before they can even hope to, maybe, get the same level of biz.
Does that piss you off bob?
What do you suppose the yearly numbers are on people hiring a CPA to do their taxes, vs people hiring a provider (for roughly the same hrly rate)...lol...?
But to answer your question, yes, sex work is a profession; the most consistently enduring profession in human history.
Thanks to you bob
Didn't you see from some prior posts that most use TurboTax? No need for someone to waste their hard earned dollars on some bean counter. I know I wouldn't.
I guess you're still from the late 70's when that is what many CPA's did for a living. Maybe fast forward to the 21st century....and join the rest of "us" who have evolved?
Maybe you too can pass the EA exam and open up your own "Quickie Tax Service". Hurry...limited supply opportunity lol
So...care to explain why hooking is a profession? So far only Alyson has given anything close to a reasonable explanation. The rest of the class is simply confused at the complexity of the question.

The rest of us in the class are not at all confused by this concept. 'Sides that, there is no amount of 'splainin' this to you that would satisfy you.
So, just keep telling yourself that providers are beneath you every time you pull another few bengies out of your pocket. Obviously, this makes you feel better.
From your post prior I guess that illegal gun sales is also a profession.
As well as illegal drug "providers".
Does that put it in a perspective that you can wrap your head around?
So, just keep telling yourself that providers are beneath you every time you pull another few bengies out of your pocket. Obviously, this makes you feel better.
to me a professional is one who directly charges the client (or patient) a fee for services rendered....
independent mechanic
Doctor
Lawyer
Real Estate Agent
Escort
If you are a paid employee to provide services that are charged for by your employer, you are not a professional by my definition.
nurses
pharmacists
Some people use professional to refer to those with a specific knowledge base.
