I'm jus' a cam girl. I don't do ANY UTR work. I'm a "retired" escort. And in the cam world, I'm paid AFTER services have been rendered. Now, THAT'S the scam we should be discussing. LOL.

Unfortunately, I’ve run across multiple scams on Tryst. Is it appropriate on these discussion boards to post links to those providers as a warning to others?

Thanks in advance…

Pilot

Just explain how/why you made that determination.

Oh, I can post the entire text exchange if you’d like, along with a link to the scammer.

Sadly, there are scams all over all the ad sites. Always cross check on TER.

I know they are “all over.” My question has to do with posting warnings here about specific providers.

Is that allowed, or not?

I feel it is if you have been scammed . Not sure if you just feel someone is fake.
With the scam you can post a review and maybe on the others can post an interaction that gave you the feeling it is not above board.
Have also seen posts like this king an add and asking what people think.

TER doesn’t allow reviews if you never meet a provider. The scams generally don’t get to the point that anyone is actually met in person.

This is sort of like the electronic version of “cash ’n dash” scams of old…but, hey…at least you actually saw someone with those. 🤣

If they took a deposit and scammed you, even if you didn’t meet, TER allows the review.

Aha, I didn't know about the "if they took a deposit" wrinkle.

Thanks for the info!

Yes, this seems to be the case.
.
You can go to the Reviews tab.
-- Then go to the third tab, More Searches dropdown.
-- -- Then choose Rip-offs.
-- -- -- Leave Location empty and hit the Search button
.
Check out some of the Rip-off Profiles (RED letters under the Name and TER ID) and reviews. Here is one with a deposit and no meeting = Rip-Off!!

Replying to my own post ... because I thought that others might have noted that ...

... there are SEVEN reviews, 6 of which say "1 Ripoff" and 1 says "2 - Should have stayed home."
from Jan 2025 to Mar 2026 - 14 months!! Other than the first guy, did ANY of those other guys read the Reviews BEFORE arranging to see that non-Provider?
.
Use TER! Check Profiles and reviews before parting with your money!

Is the specific provider one that is reviewed? If so her account has been taken over. See if you can find her actual info and let her know. I had my PD taken over and they changed the phone number and ad and pics but were sending my website out to try and look legit. These scammers are getting ruthless. So try and get to bottom of it if possible.

It has been discussed in depth here, but good to keep it alive for new people joining the discussion.  Please post the link of any scammers you've come across.  Thanks!   And as mentioned, try to verify the veracity of the Provider by using TER, P411 or other means.  Good luck, be safe and have fun!

Unfortunately, I live in a provider “desert” and there are very very few TER or P411 providers who come to this area. Thus, I and others in the area are relegated to Tryst which apparently is a festering, pus-oozing petrie dish of opportunity for scammers.

I’ll be more interested to know what kind of scams were they instead of actual links themselves. Thx

Commonly, a deposit is required to book an appointment.  Then they take the money and run.

Never pay deposit to anyone who don’t have a TER review

I would guess about 25% of Tryst is scams.
Here’s how I view it
25% scams
25% only fans ads
25% unverifiable, not necessarily scams
25% verifiable.

The fastest way to verify is with TER reviews.  You could also use p411 and possibly a combination of a website and socials.  Perhaps a video call, though they usually want to charge for it.

If I can’t verify, I’m out.

I don’t think it does any good to call out posts that “look like” scams, as we would be here all day.  If you get legitimately burned, or ripped off for hundreds of dollars, then yes let’s hear about it.
My thoughts FWIW.

Robert suggested a great way to eliminate a lot of the scammers on Tryst.  Simply put "Ter Reviewed "  in the keyword search box. I also use "review ".  This will put you from 10 or more pages of "who knows "  to a page or two of real providers.

Sure, TER is helpful. But it's not the end-all-be-all we're making it to be here. For one, I know plenty of providers who have no-review policies, or who have explicitly removed their reviews from TER. Doesn't make them sketchy necessarily.

Second, and more importantly you could still get scammed from a TER-reviewed provider if you're not careful. While I know the mods are trying, plenty of scam/fake providers put up fake reviews, sometimes even using long-time users who got hacked to give a veneer of credibility. LLMs make that shit harder.

The important thing is to believe none of what of you see, and be skeptical from the start. Investigate, be thorough! Look at these for potential red flags on Tryst:
- Does their description sound aggressive about the services they offer (to the point of implying they do BBFS?)
- Do the photos the provider posts look professional? Or do they look like selfies? Is the face at least partly censored?
- What are the provider's host cities? Are they in the same regional vicinity as you or all over the place? (Are there any that seem bizarre, like "Philadelphia, Mississippi?")
- Do they mention their OnlyFans at all if they have one?
- Are they touring? If so, does the tour actually make sense, or does it stretch plausibility (random stops, no break days for travel, a message under the stop that says they're not sure they'll be there, etc.)?
- What are their rates? Do they seem really low for your area's indie providers?
- Do they demand a deposit? Is it high (like greater than 20%)?
- Do they ask you to screen with them, or do they just ask for a deposit?
- What are their contact details? Does their phone number match an area code in the region or close by? Does the email address match with the name of the provider? (Relatedly, does the URL match with the name of the provider?) Do they suggest messaging on Telegram or Whatsapp?
- Do they have a website? Is it an actual site, and not just a Linktree that goes to an OF page?
- Do they have an active social media presence that they link to?

Each of these questions on their own might not be a cause for concern if they answer in a way that makes them seem sketch. But at least a few of them combined...hell, you don't even need to come here to know it's a scam.

Again, TER is helpful, but most provider scams are easy to spot without it. And many trustworthy providers aren't necessarily on TER.

You just said everything that you look for. So is it just a matter of time before one of those scammers thank you. Please leave a review. 🤣🤣🤣 OPSEC People!!!

And TER is the way to go!

For one thing, that's a *lot* to go through. Scammers, at heart, tend to be lazy. The amount of effort involved to make something that'll get the smart marks is almost a job. Considering there are a lot more stupid marks that'll just drool over the pics and fail to do even the most basic due diligence, it's easier to just do the bare minimum effort.

Second, I've reported fake providers on here on more than one occasion. (Who's to say you aren't one? :p TER, again, is not "the way to go." As said elsewhere, just do your homework. Be mindful of what's out there.

I'm jus' a cam girl. I don't do ANY UTR work. I'm a "retired" escort. And in the cam world, I'm paid AFTER services have been rendered. Now, THAT'S the scam we should be discussing. LOL.

Over the last few months, I've seen--and reported to Admin--ladies on TER whose reviews looked suspect. They each had several reviews from first-time reviewers who all just happened to see the same lady their first time, and other reviewers who seemed to see a different lady in a different city every week ("I just happened to be in LA/Chicago/Nashville/Tampa/Kalamazoo and saw this hot new lady . . .")

As others with more wisdom have said, TER or not, you still have to do your homework.

I reported a few profiles that were similar and nothing happened. Not even a response. I stopped because what's the point? You have any better luck?

I feel the price of admission $175 monthly for a premium ad you should be able to get a response. I have yet to understand why it takes, so long to update photos on a paid site. When I compare the traffic I get to my website TER produces the most hits with follow through. It makes you think 🤔 is it worth it to pay, so a high amount when you can get a free ad in any one city.

I think helixir was talking about TER in this case - reporting providers to TER whose reviews looked suspiciously purchased.

Tryst has explained that their photo review delay is because everything is done in house and it takes time to hire from within the industry and train new employees.

One profile disappeared, the other is still up.

I've seen this pop up a lot recently as well, they are using the TER reviews to get profiles on P4 setup now.  How did you report the fake reviews?  I was searching for that when I stumbled on this thread and you spelled out exactly what i've been seeing, new profiles that just happen to see the same couple women that all require 50% deposits.

Ter is more than helpful. If they are not reviewed here, why bother taking the chance? I value my time far too much to be doing silly shit like toftt.

No reviews = Dont bother

Not sure about providing links as I never heard directly from a particular provider but approach EVERY tryst entry with extreme caution!

I live in a provider desert and when one comes to stay for a few days I get interested to the point where I forget to listen to the big head cautions. No response from an app number text so I foolishly sent a rather innocuous message asking about her visit and whether she was busy or bored using my regular phone.

A day or so later I received a scam/spam message that I would consider a felonious threat for violence to me and my family. Of course I deleted it and reported the spam but did not block the number. Today I received another threat, with pictures of severed heads and more threats. This came via text message and was followed by a call from the same number which I didn't answer. Deleted, reported as spam. Unsettling.

Do I send an anonymous tip to the FBI? Change my number?

Beware. The scams on tryst can be rather scary. Advice? I know which provider I messaged but I never heard from her in any way. Just the threats from someone claiming that I was bothering "his girls" by asking whether she was enjoying her stay, engaged or bored. Can. I post the link for that provider as a warning to others or would I be bringing more grief onto myself?

FBI would interpret my text as: "there was no agreement to exchange money for sexual services or that the encounter was misinterpreted." Do I send a tip to stop this felonious assault on my number?

Do you think those texts are coming from an untraceable burner app? I can pretty much guarantee they are. When i recieve those, i say yes please come now. Sometimes the person on the other end gets pissed, so i push it even further.

What im getting at is turning this in to the law is a waste of time.

ALWAYS cross reference the providers ad to a ter review. No review = No dice
