I spend a lot of time on the newbie board and I have never seen them saying to stay away from agencies. I don't know where you read that. There are good agencies and bad agencies, and there are good independents and bad independents. The advice to newbies is to "stick to reputable and reviewed ladies." I don't recall the part where it says "independents" only. With agencies the advice is the same, to stick to reputable and reviewed agencies. Mind you this is advice for newbies. A lot of experienced guys enjoy TOFTT, and someone has to, or new ladies would never get reviews!

The downside of agencies that people do bring up is when agencies get busted, it gets 100s of "johnnie boys" worried about their info getting out. Happened in Arizona a few years ago, and more recently in DC. Another issue is that in some areas agencies are notoriously scams. In Las Vegas for instanc, there are tons of agencies, almost all of them being bait and switch and upsellers, or outright robs. Howeve, HHPC (mentioned by BiB) and LV100 proof have great reputations there. NY, DC, and Atlanta all have a bunch of good agencies.

So using agencies or independents is a personal choice, but I disagree with your newbie brainwashing comment.

Now if you are looking for specific suggestions, you should ask on a regional board or the ISO board, not the general board.

You know I have been programed by the newbie board, and instructions they thow at me.
I have been brainwashed into avoding agencies. Anyone who has read that board knows if you are new, to stick with well reviewed, well established, independent providers. I have kept that habit.
I still stick by my reviews, but... Am I missing out on something?
Who are the best/most respected agencies?
I see the ads. The women are gorgeous.

With all of the stories of human trafficking, getting busted, and all of that shit.
I may have already had it in my head. That ruins it for me, and I could swear I read on the newbie board.
To stick with independents to get away from that.

if you think you want to try the PS route. The Luxury Companion is considered the best at what they do. Adonia will take care of you. But it doesn't come cheap.

Aphrodite Companions is outstanding, as are 100 proof and City Girls. I've primarily only seen well reviewed providers. However, the last independant I saw (very well reviewed) stood me up less than an hour from our appointment time. I don't think you'll ever have an agency girl stand you up because they have someone else to answer to. I can say that I've never been stood up by an agency girl.

Keep in mind that agencies can afford to higher better photographers than most independents.  In my experience the independent providers can look just as good as the models from agencies.  Also each provider at an agency will have their own rules about what is allowed just like independents.

That said there's nothing wrong with a good agency.  I have also had great luck with HHPC, and the upside to a good agency is there's a base level of "good looking' you are going to get that is higher than just picking random independents as the person running the agency is also screening for looks.  If you didn't have access to reviews a good agency would probably be a bit more of a sure thing... but then it's hard to know what agency is good without reading reviews first.

Make sure to always use a burner phone with any agency, regardless of how secure they keep your number.

are about recent busts and the fact that agencies are a larger target for LE.  There have been some very large agency busts, particularly in DC, and those busts made folks very anti-agency in those regions.  

But I doubt the anti-agency comments are about service or the quality of the actual girls.

The pictures are often the false ones placed in BP of models.  How accurate do you think are the ones they show you on the site. Remember their girls keep only 40-60% of the asking price. Do 10's work for that?

But it could be the same girl w/a little photoshop so try it out and take one for the team.
