While a big WWE fan,I really dont have any overt like or dislike for the Hogan family. But the media coverage of Hogan's son's car wreck, legal case, and now jail sentence is really ridiculous.

No doubt Nick is a spoiled kid who was reckless. He,like any spoiled kid, hasn't taken responsibility for his actions, thus he wants to be released from jail early et al.

But the media is treating the guy that was injured in the crash like a saint. Isn't it probable that this guy participated in the same irresponsible behavior (steet racing,speeding etc)that Nick did. I mean its not like Nick picked up an old lady and gave her a ride home at 110mph with her begging him to stop the whole way. I feel that it just as easily could have been Nick in the passenger seat with the other guy driving. It is highly probable that the injured guy also raced cars as well which makes him just as bad as Nick.

And I doubt that his behavior would have been much different after the wreck.

I just got done saying the same thing. I agree w you totally. Its a total tragedy all the way around for all involved. Both boys were in it together. Its not like he hit some innocent kid crossing the street. They were friends, and both families knew this was an issue. Everyone involved here is at fault to some degree both boys, and all the parents. The system also needs to take responsability here, and should have pulled Nicks lisence long b4 this tragic thing happened.

he should do his time just like my kid would have to.

He certainly should have to serve out his entire sentence, which I thought was a bit easy. I am not surprised that he is experiancing stress,anyone who has watched Hogan Knows Best knows he is a spoiled kid. But he is no different than thousands of other spoiled kids and shouldn't be promoted as a heartless guy.

I think he is crazy though to be complaining about being in solitary confinement, the last thing he wants is to be around hardened criminals.

And if it was yours or my kid...the sentence would be a great deal stiffer without solitary.
He should be happy they are taking very good care of him.

... you don't really offer anything to support your subject line.  And then you contradict the sentiment in your subsequent post.  It's totally irrelevant what Nick's friend would or would not have participated in.  Nick's actions put him and many others at great risk.  Raw deal?  Hardly!

I think it is kinda crazy that at 16 and multiply speeding tickets he was allowed to drive at all. He did the crime and should do the time...John is.

After about a week in general populace he'll be so beaten and sodomized he'll be BEGGING to be returned to solitary.

He has the money and ability to be doing the same thing on the track legally.

Instead, he's endangering the general public, and it's one of his own posse that gets hurt.

Throw the book at him.  

I regularly drive faster than he does, but I don't get in accidents or tickets because I watch what the fuck I'm doing, and don't drive beyond the limits of the situation.

It's about RESPONSIBILITY.  You give an 18 year old a couple of dangerous toys, he better know how to use them.

And I don't buy the minor shit.  We have kids younger than that jumping on grenades in Iraq.

On this subject we agree completely. Actions have consequences, he needs to learn that sooner rather than later. That lesson, as with many spoiled rotten kids of today is already coming rather late for him.

My car does 175 easily, but I haven't been in an accident in decades. I DO realize there are consequences for my actions and I act accordingly.
