Guys,
Do you take any offense if a woman in your life suggests clothing that will look good on you, or buys you clothing? How about if she TELLS you what to wear or lays out a specific outfit for you to put on for XYZ occasion? Just doing some market research. Thank yoOnly my mom can tell me things like that..... I may not listen, but I don't get mad.. If its anyone else, I get mad.. Please don't do it.. I know how to dress...
Seriously....And wtf is this TELLS you to wear crap? Oh I forgot. Here at "soft john central" the manginas proly pay more for that. Isnt the pay greater for hooker dommes?
No, to answer your question, I don't need any helping dressing or picking out my clothes. Most real men dont. But help undressing? Sure, knock yourself out honey. I dig that at times. But what firm are you working for with this "market research" bullshit? Christ, I get enough of those calls from telephone marketers. No need for that shit either.Answer to the first one... No, I do not take offense when someone I respect offers a suggestion, or buys me something. I can either accept it or not as I choose.
Answer to the second one... No fuckin way! This is why I am no longer married. You're welcome...If she comes across as I'm an idiot that can't dress himself that's not going to work. If she says I really like the way you look in your ______ suit you know I'll be wearing it whenever she wants.
Generally though I'll dress myself. If I'm not comfortable in it I don't care how it looks.Well that's a bummer. Women love to buy clothing for the men they love/like. It's definitely a sign she likes you a lot if she wants to dress you.
And I appreciated it. She never actually told me what to wear or laid out a specific outfit, but she would suggest, or sometimes tell me if she thought what I'd picked out didn't work. I never took any offense because she had/has superb taste. She definitely elevated my clothing sense.
Lays out a specific "outfit" ......honey, men do not wear "outfits" or have them "laid out for them" ..I'm a man, not your little boy !

Thank you
those shoes! And your pants and shirt clash big-time!
(You were asking for this and you know it!)
You to wear. It would make her so happy!
We generally will do anything you guys want. If you want us to wear dresses, heels, red, pink, blue, cut our hair, dye our hair, wear nail polish, wear ______.... We'll do it. So this is just a little disheartening that your comfort is more important that looking attractive for your woman (I'm not saying YOURE unattractive. I don't even know you. I mean pleasing your woman's idea of what's attractive on you.)-- Modified on 10/23/2014 4:29:10 PM
Like surprise me to a NATS game with 2 tickets...
Cook some home made good food (veal would be awesome) with some fine wine and a nice blowjob afterwards... If she really wants to do something for me in apparel department she can just give me a gift card for a "clothes only" type of store.smile is from drinking copious amounts of beer, and so is the nice little beer belly..
... was always my signal to turn around and make a change. I was never told what to wear as much as what not to wear, and that worked well. I never took offense, just the opposite - she was far better at that than I.
I'm single because of women like you !
You really don't understand MEN and your position as the "woman", do you ?
You seem to have a very controlling nature .
I ask my SO to put out my clothes so I don't have to change. I don't care so why make it an issue.
Used to wear suit & tie everyday and asked my SO to help coordinate suit, shirt and ties so I could just pull them off the rack. She's much braver than I in how she would put these together so worked for me.
go shopping with me and give me your advice? Love it.
Buy me clothing? OK... but NSA, right? I don't REALLY have to wear the heinous Christmas sweater in public to avoid offending you, do I? Maybe once if you're really, really nice to me? Tell me what to wear? Uh, no. Heels dig in. Not good.I'll admit, I've been complimented more times wearing clothes that my lady has chosen for me than when I've chosen clothes for myself.
It's difficult to argue with success, and besides, there aren't many things I loathe more than clothes shopping...two birds...one stoneI'm good with the first. She has good taste and a healthy budget. The second doesn't work with most people, female or male.

No, I don't take offense if any of the women in my life suggest clothing that would good on me or if the buy an article of clothing as a gift.
And unless I ask their opinion on what I ought to wear to an event, I would be slightly offended if they insisted I wear a particular suit or whatever. If they say, "I like the charcoal jacket better than the herringbone," or something like that, I certainly take their opinion into account as to what I'll wear when with them.Do you take any offense if a woman in your life suggests clothing that will look good on you, or buys you clothing?

I have the insight to know that I am not very fashionable , but I do have a sense of what I am (and am not) comfortable wearing. Therefore, while I am always open to suggestions about what to wear from the Mrs. , I will veto any suggestion I am not comfortable with (with no hard feelings either way). However, telling a grown man what to wear is (usually) a very poor method of getting him to change his attire as it is very likely to engender defensiveness and resistance. As the say, you get more button flies on with honey....
Seems like some of them are a bit insecure in their masculinity, LOL!
I like having nice clothing and looking good. But it's also helpful to get a woman's perspective. I occasionally get into a rut in my fashion sense, so it helps to have someone break me out of my routine and suggest new styles, colors, etc. Having a woman go shopping with me or give me clothing has opened me up to new looks that I wouldn't have selected for myself. It doesn't always work out but that's ok.
You can buy me clothing any time you want, Minnie.
You don't know what it is to take control, make descions, be a real man and LEAD the women through life's rough obstacles . You as a man take control and "protect" her from day to day hassles and crap . It's your job to "steer the ship ", earn money , take care of her needs and protect her ....make sure she is provided for and secure and safe with her "man"
Your a fucking pussy that has not a clue about "providing" and making sure your woman's needs are fulfilled and she is always safe and secure with you !
Put on your little gar animals outfit and be a mammas boy ...
Let us men pass you by in the business world with real ladies by our side to fulfill their job as a woman !
Something tells me that this is not the only reason you are single, pal.
Lookit, you're paying for time and companionship just like everyone here so don't think you're any more of a man than anyone else. Stop acting like someone who's had an erection that's lasted for more than 4 hours. Nick doesn't need me or anyone else to speak for him, so I'm speaking for me.
Just kidding.
Actually, if it weren't for certain friends of the female persuasion I knew about 40 years ago, I'd still be dressing like I was on my way to a dog fight.
So, I do appreciate the advice I receive now and then regarding my wardrobe.
I might even have learned a thing or two over the last 40 years.
i usually like to dress in my Dr. Who outfit..then i look like a complete fucking asshole..
Dr Who might be one of the biggest board assholes in history of man kind but you sound like you're about to join the club yourself. LOL
And two, when admin gets real close to me like that, they'll hit me up for some of my best negotiating tactics.
They're no dummies. So I have no problem if she suggests something to wear.
If you were too old for the the 60+ board and had to wear a diaper, you'd be a grumpy fuck too.
I believe they do, so Absolutely
There's a reason Fashion is one of the most profitable businesses in the world. Dress good to feel good, even if you need a lil guidance from your 'woman' lol.I'd like to dedicate this post to stunner fashion icon himself, Mr. Oscar de la Renta
I would have worrn a pink polka dotted suit. In the later stages I would have stuffed that same suit up her ass! Good thing she didn't ask me to wear that suit because the house I bought just barely fit up her ass. lol
These things take time....and more thorough testing need be done.
Looks like mac didn't go to that M&G either....thankfully as I had a bunch of PM's/emails from gals worried about his mischievousness. Just another reason to play safe here...some simply don't.Whatever he wanted. He could go out and buy me a dress and say, "Wear this tonight" and as long as it wasn't totally embarrassing, I would be HONORED to dress for him!

But other than that there really aren't much I can do about it anyway. Women like to shop. Women like to dress dolls up.
There you have it!I haven't had this good a laugh in several hours. Clearly, you are overcompensating for your latent homosexuality
Rumor has it that it took 6 hours and 3 nurses to get the old jackass cleaned up for that photo.
The hardasses say OH HELLL NO! No woman can tell me what do do or wear. I wear the pants in this relationship Biatch!
And then there's some reasonable, honest guys who can admit that they dress like shit and like that a woman cares enough to help them out in the wardrobe department. I think I know which "my" guy falls into and know that I can gently make suggestions for him. Thanks!

..only kidding... but my friends ended up being dressed by their wives. My brother finally drew the line. He allowed his wife to dress him for social events but not family events. Yes I resent it in a big way. As you can imagine I do not dress well. Jeans, tshirts, work boots. Never ever tuck a shirt in which is actually an improvement from HS and college days when I didnt even button it up. Not a slob though. Clean and neat.
youuuuuu. Geezk!!!
Big Blabbermouth, my goodness. I don't know what I'm wearing just yet. I'll decide that day when I get there. It is a costume party, correct? I don't think you'll recognize me, so that's a good thing. Don't worry, I won't be bothering you lol I won't be in the mood for debating with you all evening that my drink is really pink and you are adamant it's red...dammit LOL. Let's see if you get my humor yet Nick (after all this time). Click on the link below. (pssst, I just like the song)He's as queer as they come. Wears lace panties under his overalls. I'm pretty sure he's a bear. Like one of these "dude's.
..you will do anything us guys want. Why. Especially when it comes to feeling comfortable which is what dressing is all about. Oh wait! Its not about feeling comfortable its about pleasing someone else at your own expense. Cant relate.

I have the sartorial panache of a wart hog and if my SO didn't lay my clothes out for me, I'd go out the door with one blue sock and one green sock, purple pants and a chartreuse shirt so hell yes I let her dress me (within limits, of course).
She only does this for social occasions, the rest of the time it's Levis, cowboy boots, and a Sportsman's Warehouse shirt...Oh, and breathe easy, I have no plans to attend any M&Gs. Jest funin' with ya. Have a great time.
women dress to impress other women, no the men in their lives...
Isn't that what you wanted?
Steph
...and a great thread it is Minnie!

And whew....LOL, well now, that would've been a bit awkward haha. I know how much you (especially) despise my lil hiney lol. Imagine the thought lol. Anyway, thank you, I shall have a great time.
But 1 question...how did you know I was possibly going exactly?-- Modified on 10/23/2014 8:02:54 PM
...regardless of what we wear. We would care about one another's comfort (not just the clothes being comfortable). We would know one another's likes and dislikes. Then our approach would be to complement the other when they wore something we thought they looked especially good in. This would serve as encouragement to wear certain things on special occasions. However on a day to day basis I will pick my own clothes and she will pick hers because we care for each other not for what we wear. It's all about your approach.
Do I want to please her? Yes, but I'm a capable and confident man. I can take care of myself. What to wear (how to dress) isn't something I need someone to do for me. Sounds to me like you're all about what she (you) wants. A relationship is about what is important to each other. edited for grammar-- Modified on 10/23/2014 11:28:40 PM
I don't ask them what they want me to wear. It's not staying on very long.
And how I know what I know is a State Secret. See, the stuff I know is actually real stuff. Unlike what Minnie Mendoza thinks she knows. If you would just accept that I "know" far more than you do (or can imagine) you would be more at peace. Enjoy the party. I guarantee you won't see me there.
I appreciate suggestions and hints about what a lady finds attractive, or a gift of apparel. I think I have good taste in clothes but pretty conservative (some might say "boring").
But TELL me to wear something or lay something out and expect me to wear it... no way. I would never insult a woman by doing that, and I don't want to be treated that way either. You will be there
Ok..nowwww I'm confused (giggle giggle)
I think I just got a lil nervous and my socks are loose lol
You despise me 10x more than this guy ^^^^^^^^^^^^ (see, I found the upward arrow at least)
Wait, do you bring a date to these things? Lol
From Casino Royale....
BondGirl wannabe, Tabu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPNPXym2_SgNo, my little tulip, everyone does.
Geezk, OK, OK. If you say so LOL. Quite the 'absolut' statement. You hanging out with Dr. Who again?
You win But I love tulips.Beautiful, delicate and elegant.
Smile today.
You look better than anyone else in the room in a t shirt and jeans. Not that he would ever wear that.

I may balk if its outlandish, uncomfortable or impractical; but it is much like a lady accidentally on purpose leaving a sweater, underwear or other such personal items at a mans home. They just want other women to know they have 'dibs' on 'this one'.
I won't be told what to wear either. I can choose my own clothes. I know what suits me and what I am comfortable in.
I like a person who can dress themselves, anyway what are we, infants that need dressing?Who don;t really give a shit if you cross dress? So you have a dick and balls, that makes you male NOT a man.
A man does not come on here and talk like some devolved nuisance. If he is secure there is no need for it. You are bragging to an audience that does not give a rats ass about you and your sprouting pubes sonny boyWhen I get a cougar in the sack. She always complains about a husband like you. She will stay with you for the money though. So you're good
No. But some of us, at some point in our lives, need a little guidance to step up our sartorial game. What could possibly be wrong with that?
Just thought I'd offer you some free sex for the ride. If you pay for the cab.
See you there!you must be quite the strapping 'younger' lad. Should I assume....let's say less than HALF my age when you introduce yourself to me at the event then LOL. And only (as a gentleman of course, I feel like I must add) after all this ridiculous talk about how 'older' women here are not to your particular liking (unless it's just me lol). Hmmm, it certainly would be interesting if after all this time you were anything 'but' that and presented yourself anything OVER the age of 40. I guess we shall see, shan't we?
But you can certainly be a gentleman (again, I have to add) and toast a drink (like a gentleman, which I'm sure you are). I'll let you know what I like when I arrive and I, of course, would kindly like it presented with a lil taste and class more than anything else. I just wonder if you can handle that Jack...if so, terrific. And in that case, yes, I will see you then!!!! (btw, fat chance on the 'free' sex and only a 'non'gentleman would let a lady pay for cab fare after inviting her lol)This post is dedicated to ALL the beautiful ladies here who grace the OVER 40 age bracket and whom are fabulous!!!!

Women buy men clothing all the time. Women ask/tell their men what to wear all the time. That is what they do. Every GF I have ever had has done this at some point in time. Usually I just wear it because I do not care what I wear, but sometimes I just say 'no' and she has to be used to disappointment
