It is clear that in the Big Apple, NYC LE, are manpower strapped, and they are trying to manage under tough economic conditions;therefore, heavier NYC budget restrictions linmiting new recruits,OT,etc. They have to maintain local order in addition to the threat of another outside attack to the financial capital of the world. We read in the local papers all the time that Federal $ are not coming fast enough to assist our LE in this area. That being said....How does Kansas City get away with this massive sting operation on the world's oldest profession? Is it just that some areas of our country are oblivious to national security issues...I mean C'mon!... God forbid NYC or another major city in this great country takes another hit like 9/11...we've seen what happened to the National economy since then.If I was a local KC taxpayer, I'd surely question the excess expense,????, but as an outsider from NYC, stil reeling from 9/11 it seems like a tremendous waste of LE resources and mula.

"On Friday, Dumit said, officers also raided four strip clubs in Kansas City. Officers went into the clubs posing as customers and watched for violations, such as dancers allowing money to be put in unauthorized areas of their outfits. About 40 dancers were arrested and charged."

That's "Homeland Security" alright!

btw, has anyone considered that *I* may be LE myself!???

i mean, look how readily i blended in since i joined few months ago. seriously!  think about it. singleton, a COP!  why not? apparently i go around bossing folks left and right like i own the place, anyway, right?

take my word for it:  TRUST NO ONE!  >:)

treat me with the same (relative) skepticism you would others. sure i've posted a handful or reviews, but so could've LE. btw, does anyone know if it's legal for them to COERCE a real hobbyist into aiding them in setting up a sting?  just curious. you know, like informants with the DEA, that kind of thing?

Assuming that no reviews existed, this type of sting op could be avoided if (as has been mentioned numerous times before) we hobbyists make sure the ladies we schedule with have been reviewed.  Also I have a question for the providers - would providers be willing to verify unseen providers for us if we asked?  I consider a referral or verification from a provider I have seen even more reliable than a review.

the provider has a website, a contact number, I would be willing to accept her word :)

It's called Date-Check.  Guys become members when a verified provider "verifies" him as a client.  Providers become members by being verified by providers AND clients.

Another feature, and an important one, is that they retain absolutely no sensitive information about the clients.  Since the site is in actuality a referral service to providers, anytime they check a client profile, what they see is a benign amount of information about preferences (hair color, environment for date, etc.) and no data like the type we don't like to give away (where we work, etc.), and a list of providers that client has seen.

It has worked very well for me.  One provider I called on very short notice was on line when I called.  I gave her my id and she verified me on the spot, and showed up at my hotel in an hour.  Most providers I know who are members (I've actually seen and have been "verified" by 7 now) really like this service.  And the cost in really minimal.

I highly recommend this site.

I'm a member also, I don't understand what privacy you're talking about.

I don't care HOW innocuous you may think it is.  One subpoena, with LE sifting through records...and some not-so-difficult tracing is all it takes.  For me, the risk/reward ratio is not acceptable.  If it is for you, fine.

Date Check doesn't store personal info. Only the info that is used to verify you with the provider.
