Get over it. And do not give her the satisfaction of booking or sticking with your 2nd appointment. Why? Just so you confirm to her you are a wuss that she can walk over. I am not impressed with what you described as her reviews.

And if she is so stupid as to fall asleep on the balcony (hope it is in warm weather climate) and not bother to get in touch until the next morning something stinks. After all, were you required to never ever and without any exception at any time what so ever, ever call her without first unblocking your phone. She had you damn number chose to email you in the morning, I guess to respond to your inquire to her welfare.

She could not possibly have decided to blow you off because the appointment before you wanted to extend to 4 hours. Naw..... Impossible I feel the pain. If you wanted only an hour your trick has just loss serious value to compare with the trick she had right then and there and more than an envelope full of Benjamin’s.

Didn't they just say on the news that 49 of the 50 states were covered in snow? You must be in that one state left without snow and it must have been great weather for her to fucking fall asleep on the balcony.

No but seriously. That right there sounds like bullshit. And she needed another hour to get ready and "get her hair right"? Bullshit. Any provider that spends that long on her hair is in need of some serious time management lessons. The average joe doesn't notice if one fucking hair is out of place. And if she does her job the way she's supposed to, its just going to get messed up anyway!

Bottom line she jerked you around, and then didn't bother to contact you til the morning. Sleeping for 5 hours doesn't equal that rest of the day/night. She could have emailed you when she woke up but she didn't. That should mean something. Don't be a pussy. Cut your losses and move on. And no, you can't do a review if you didn't actually have a session. You need to post this on your regional board and have the guys PM you for details so they don't waste their time either. Guys like you are why providers continue to pull this shit.

I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of a very well reviewed provider to our area and had pre-booked, verified, etc. for two appointments during her stay.  I was supposed to see her a few hours after her arrival.  I called before driving to her hotel, and she said her plane had been delayed but she was settling in and sounded pleasant and okay.  I told her I’d be over in half an hour.  Calling her on my arrival, she seemed flustered and said she needed more time to get herself together and get her hair right.  I asked her to give me a time estimate, and she said an hour, so I chilled in the neighborhood  wasting time.  After an hour, no call from her, so I went back to her lobby and called without answer.  I called two more times over another half hour, but still no answer, so I left.   A couple hours later, I emailed her to ask what happened.  The next morning, I got an email apologizing and claiming that she had gone onto her balcony and fallen asleep for 5 hours due to exhaustion.  

Obviously, I’m pissed.  Should I believe her and make another appointment or keep my other scheduled appointment?  If so, what consideration should I expect from her, if any.  I’d just cut my losses and forget it, but this is someone with all stellar reviews.  (BTW, she has 18 total review beginning 4/06 but strangely ending 5/09, though her website is current.)

Also, how does one post a review for a no-show in this situation and should I?

I had a very similar experience - the provider was not from out of town, but everything else was the same, delayed appointment, then no response to calls, frantic apology about falling asleep, lots of reviews and active web site, ads, and posts on TER, but no new reviews for over a year.

She promised to make it up, and we arranged a make up date. Now your experience will surely differ at this point, because since she is traveling you cannot have a string of 7 or 8 appointments, each broken or canceled, each time a quick apology and promise to make it up, please do not think her an asshole, etc. In the end I did find out, through the grapevine, that I was not the first person with this experience, and I doubt I will be the last. But this only ended when I caught her on an excuse that was verifiable untrue (either she was getting over confident, or running out of good stories to use) and I told her that we either needed to try a different tack entirely, maybe a drink in public, OTC, but surely something different than this never ending cycle, or just go away because she was starting to creep me out.

Maybe your story will end differently, but it does seem a little strange to me that one talks on the phone to confirm a date, asks for a little extra time, then stops answering the phone and falls asleep for hours. You tell me, if you are harried, running late, tryng to get ready, is that a situation where you are likely to lay down and fall asleep? Sure, it could happen, but something tells me there is something else at play. And the lack of any new reviews suggests she has not been seeing a lot of other, new clients lately.

Your call as to whether you post on your local board, and on her local board, about this. I did not for reasons I will share if you PM me, though I thought about doing that, and have mixed emotions about my decision.

Since,you did not see her you cannot post a review.The length of her review history is really not what I consider an issue but the NCNS.It also depends on how bad you want to see this provider while the situation was not cool when she did not answer your calls.If she was going to offer anything for the missed appointment I would think it would have been said in the email she sent apologizing.Situations occur and some ladies will try to make it right with the gentleman if it was her fault.

She is traveling to your area, so it is not like you are on vacation, and she ruined it. Unless you have limited opportunity to hobby (SO out of town), I'd give her another chance. After all, she is someone you are interested in seeing. Just mentally prepare yourself that the 2nd appointment may not happen either. At the appointed time (when you have to leave for her location), I would call her, and if she doesn't respond, then get on with your day. If she does answer and asks for a delay, then give her one chance. Call her again at the new time to confirm. If she is less than enthusiastic (hesitant, etc.), then call it off telling her you don't want to waste any more time with her games.

If you don't end up seeing her, post a NCNS message on the regional board.

Do not try to get her to reduce her rate for the other appointment by suggesting you might not show. Before you go, decide what your go/no go criteria are, and then give her a call voicing your concerns about the second appointment, and see what happens. If you don't go, make sure you cancel ahead of time.

It is OK that you want her to offer a reduced rate, or whatever. It is however, not good to try to get her to agree to it through coercion. Again, decide what criteria you need met before you call/email, and stick with it. This applies for most things hobby related and not just NCNS follow-ups.

Realize too, that second attempts after an NCNS are more likely (IMO) to result in NCNS. That's not a reason to cancel now, but just warning you. If you make another try, tell her you need a confirmation message the day of the appointment with a "no later than" time, to allow you to abort before you leave your location the second time. She may have other appointments, so you may have to work on an agreeable time.

Bottom line, nobody can decide this but you. Hopefully all the opinions here gave you some things to consider.

Now ignore my advise.

Maybe she had jet lag. You should have know this could happen if she came a very great distance to see you ....

I ignored most these advisors when this happened to me...to my regret.  Agree totally..move on because she'll do it again because she'll consider you a regular that will see her no matter what.

Not to say things don't happen, they do.  But you can usually spot a genuine emergency because she'll call you several times and apologize and not just email the next day.  I'm understanding of a true emergency, but I have no patience if bounced with a flimsy excuse.

  First off, she lied to him. I'm not buying her story of falling asleep knowing a client was waiting. Secondly, a true apology should have included special offers to make up for the bad behavior (extra time, greek, a free visit, ...). He should not have to ask for it since she lied/fucked up. I am in customer service myself. I would be offering many extras if I screwed up like this in my world.


PS...There are 3 main reasons I no longer do reviews here: 1) Can't review for ncns, 2) Reviews are screened, and 3) Free premium membership for reviews encourages bs reviews.

First off this was a first date & you don't know what happened.  Life does happen & it is possible that something went wrong even if she's not 100% truthful about it.  I say to give her a second chance IF YOU WANT TO.

That said, there are girls...  I won't call them ladies...  whose business plan is "The first guy to the door." & they blow off any other clients until they are available again.  Appointments mean nothing to them.  I will not see such girls if I find this by reading reviews.

Most of the time, I don't have time for playing games with the lady. But, the guy seemed really interested in the lady. In those instances, I play the no BS game. Book a date (the 2nd appointment in his post), and if it happens, it happens. It is also passive-aggressive, in as much as, if she gives a little bs (call me back in 1/2 hour), and she doesn't answer. Then you get a call from her, asking aren't you going to come over, and you blow her off.

Sometimes you have to put up with a little BS (or flakiness) to see a lady that really interests you. Control the BS, and maybe you get to see her.

I know there are a lot of ladies who handle their business well. I also know you shouldn't reward ladies that BS. But, if you are attracted to a lady, you are attracted to her.

Had an appointment all lined up with a terrific lady.  When I e-mailed her and got no response, I knew in my gut someting was wrong.  Sure enough NCNS.  I called and texted too.  Nothing.  Next morning got a message saying she had fallen asleep with a headache.  Turns out, she had our appiontment calendared for the wrong date.  She was extremely and sincerely appologetic.  For me...all is forgiven. Stuff happens.   I know her well enough to know she did not do this on purpose.
