God bless the nice and great people of BP. Long live the web site! Here's wishing good luck to another 100 or so years of prosperity and lot of income for these very deserving capitalists and entrepeneurs.
The whole concept is utterly ridiculous, and yet more tax payers money gets wasted on attacking people who are just providing a place for others to go about their business of making a living. Makes me soooooo mad!!!
Even if it wants to Congress would have to pass law to overwrite the First Amendment. Meaning 2/3 of both houses then 3/4 of all the States would have to ratify. Pardon if I maybe off on the exact numbers but basically it will require Super Majority to change an Amendment.
I don't recall the actual vote percentages and am too lazy to look them up, but you are probably pretty close. Bottom line is it is really hard to add, remove, or change an amendment to the constitution. (On purpose) The Bill of Rights is extremely unlikely to ever be repealed or changed.
However, the Supreme Court decides how to interpret those Amendments, and those interpretations do change from time to time. All those rights have limitations. For example the right to free speech does not give you the right to say "I have a bomb" at an airport.
