Mouse Madness?

Is it just my computer or is there often a frustratingly long delay between clicking the mouse to open a message, or send this, or return to that?

Sometimes it's instantaneous and other times you wait and wait and aren't sure if you misclicked or should click again.

I think this is what often clutters up the board with "duplicate post" signs.

It's not just you. If I remember correctly, the server(s) were moved awhile back and it's been that way ever since. Or I'm wrong and it's just been slow for some other reason ever since.

Try around 3:330 am C.S.T., usually not to bad then. ;-/

I'm not even on a real computer (PDA phone) and I get instant page opening/posting/refresh/PM/ect, the only thing that swirls in the bowl and won't flush for me is my initial login with my username & password... there's a several second delay when I click submit until the page starts changing... then it's rocket speed from there!

With Windows 95 to boot. It's not the CPU as much as that external HD he's sporting and whose software was discontinued in '98.

They just don't make parts for Atari anymore.

If every website is slow for you, or if your whole machine is slow, some things that might be causing it:
spyware infestation
slow broadband connection
too many junk start up programs
too many processes running
too many bad registry entries
junk files/temp files
virus

If you think any of these may be the case, look around on cnet.com and check out some of the free tools for taking care of it.  My TER experience is always quick and efficient, but I take meticulous care of my computer.

But since no one else seems to have too much trouble, I will redouble my efforts to do as you say.
