Generally providers are generous in their tipping (I'm sure some can be very cheap but I don't know any). I guess we understand people who work for tips because we're in the service industry. I have not been out with clients who were cheap on tips or on a budget for restaurants or nights out but I've heard horror stories from a couple gfs of mine; they were embarrassed a few times at restaurants where we eat out regularly.

I think that that women in general are more giving

Bartenders, along with waiters and others in the service industry because ther themselves live on tips. Degenerate gamblers, and I don't mean the low stakes penny ante poker players, because after handling thousands or millions of dollars in action, "real" money seems to lose it's meaning. I've seen high stakes gamblers tip a hundred bucks for a cup of coffee with out single thought, in many cases they consider $100 chips as "change" lol
