On August 26 the Nineteenth Amendment was proclaimed by the secretary of state as being part of the Constitution of the United States. Women in the United States were enfranchised on an equal basis with men. The text reads as follows:

The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by an State on account of sex.

Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Our Grandmothers and Mothers fought hard for it, and now its our right to use, dont remain silent, let your voice be heard.

It's your right, its your voice, its your country.

Dont forget to Vote

A women's lib speaker was addressing a large group and said, "Where would man be today if it were not for woman?" She paused a moment and looked around the room. "I repeat, where would man be today if it were not for woman?" From the back of the room came a voice... "He'd still be in the Garden of Eden eating strawberries!"
