Something that has always bothered me is that when you are contacting a girl for a session, she does not allow "blocked" calls.  

If a "hobbyest" is verified and has seen other girls....if the girls can vouch for him..that he is not with LE, that should be sufficient.

Having my phone number, is having my identity, my work, my family, etc.  In many households, the wife does the bills and she will pick up on new or different phone numbers.

I have had the unpleasant experience of a girl who turned a bit "psycho" and kept calling me, asking if I wanted to get together again for another session.  

Discretion is of the utmost importance.  It seems to me that probably the most important reason for TER to exist at all is for the protection of both hobbyest and provider..not to get caught in a sting.  Quality assurance is also a helpful function of this site.

If a girl requires me to show her my personal, work, or cell number...that identifies me....then there will not be a session.  Which of us really knows if the girl is keeping a "black book".  What is necessary is that the provider knows that I am not with LE.

I am sure if the requests were reversed, that is, I would like to know the real name and number, and all the other info that can be gleaned from that small piece of info (the phone number) most all of the providers would feel uncomfortable.

As long as a fellah can be cleared with references and/or a white list referral, I don't see the need for excessive personal information.  The less I know, the better... and vice versa.

If you don't like handing out your information than join one of the three well-known verification sites.  

While I don't have a black book I do require more than your handle and provider references to ensure not only my safety but the safety of the other gentlemen I see.  

My exception is if you belong to one of the three sites.

You have a good point. However, you are able to search websites, learn from other hobbyists about us and see our reviews and pictures. If you choose a lady who has great reviews and you like her pics, there's an extremely good chance she is not LE and is what you are looking for in a date.

Now, on the other hand, we (providers) haven't a clue who you are. There are no reviews on your behavior or looks (not that the latter matters too much) and no websites to confirm that you may be legit.

If you give me a reputable provider who has a website and reviews who has seen you in the past six months, then that's probably all you'll have to give me. But, I will still need your cell phone number in case I need to cancel (which is doubtful) or confirm the appointment. I don't like to take a chance on NO-SHOWS either. I also ask the gentlemen when it is appropriate to call, and I believe most women ask this question. If you are good with responding to emails fairly quickly then I would not need to call you. It's just a backup plan in case you forget the appointment or blow me off. I also do not rely just on TER names. That would be suicide. Anyone could email me and say he is Joe Blow from TER and is on the White List. That means nothing to me and, frankly, I do not White List men. It's not a good way to give a reference and LE is always watching the boards. The White List could be used against you in a hearing. In fact, many ladies have taken down their white lists due to recent busts in Arizona, and many men have also asked to be taken off of the list.

I hope this makes it a little easier to understand our predicament. Our situation is much scarier than your situation and contacting us. Sorry, but it's the truth. All of us have personal lives and people we love. Hobbyists are far from the only people who could get hurt in this business. We don't particularly want to be thrown in jail, raped, murdered or exposed to the public. We also might experience stalkers at times. Think about it and have common sense. If you cannot give us some type of good reference then why should we see you? If you are that worried (which I would be if I were married), then perhaps the hobby world is not meant for you. Again, I understand your predicament, but without good references you will not be able to see a lot of ladies on this board. Try Craig's List.

Am I reading you correctly - you feel that if a hobbyist has references, the provider should accept his blocked call? How does she know it is him calling?

Are you saying she should accept all blocked calls and then filter out which ones are sincere and which aren't?

If you buy a throw-away phone, your wife won't have access to the records.

You've experienced a "psycho" who phoned you inappropriately, but you still think providers should accept blocked calls?

You think that accepting blocked calls shows discretion?

You don't like sharing personal information with a provider - but if a provider is established - verified - and other hobbyists can vouch for her - shouldn't that be enough?

I don't even answer my own personal non escort line unless I know who's calling.  I assumed all gentlemen were using private phones, pay per go phones, etc and not a family lan line.

I've been lookin for one of those for 6 years now... and all I get are great looking ladies who are smart, grounded and very polite...  and none will marry me - even though I propose constantly and always send flowers and candies... and notes and such for weeks upon weeks hoping that they will accept me for who I am... that's all I want....   that an a bizillion dollars....

heck - even the only one who I thought was a bit "out there" left the hobby married and is rasin her kid!  go figure.  normalcy....

Hobby phone?  heck, I've lost my phone... and when found - folks ask - well why do you have all these "gentlemen's clubs on speed dial???" hee hee.....  course, there is that incident where I did get the psycho stripper who when I told here we were not gonna be boyfriend/girlfriend drugged me...  yea, forget the screening... block all the phones... take random calls...  I Even get calls for my mom - who is now dead for over 2 years, from blocked numbers.... Sheese..

Ever get a call from the telemarketer of a company... and you wonder how they got your unlisted cell phone #??? that is when I ask to speak with the supervisor.....  

yea, but the strangeness of it all, is texting......   blocked texting.... hummm well  I guess to participate in this hobby, you will have to chance that as you go into a session or come out of one... I will be either goin or cummin.... lol!!!!  

I don't know about you, but having walked into a situation that was B&S- and the B&S folk were numerous... and rough... and possiblly not really nice... I wish I could screen with a telephone number.... it is the least you can do...

You REALLY expect to call a provider, block your number and have her take your WORD that you are who you say you are?  Good lucking getting anyone to see you that will take any schmuck that calls from a blocked number.
Also....how do we get a reference for you, if we can't match a number to a name for one?
Get a pre-paid phone and stop whining.

No blocked calls for me. No way. I put too much money & time into this & risk to deal with that sort of crap.
