The bitcoin problem is not resolved. There’s still an error message when you try to use bitcoin to purchase VIP days, but TER is working in the problem.
Be careful if you’re using your own Cc or debit cards! I used them for years. Then I had three capital one accounts all canceled when I posted an ad on E... credit score down 27 points in one day because of that discrimination. They said, “the card wasn’t used in a way consistent with our expectations” or something like that. And I was told it was because I used it for an ad. I’m pretty sure it was E...that resulted in the cancellation but I’m not 💯 % sure. I won’t use personal cards for any adult accounts anymore. I want to thank everybody who gave good advice before and I will add a link to that discussion. People had some good suggestions and several options for paying. OLDRANGER you’re the sweetest! Thanks so much for gifting me 50 VIP days so I can worry about this after my trip. 💋💋 Link to people’s advice:
When I still had P411 I would go to bank and get a money order to their Obscure name and Mail it in Processed in about 10 days. Just looked and TER does not seem able to offer this but should look at if not all ready. Do not want to understand bitcoin, and not about to pay an extra % to create a profit center for a .
I just read about buying a gift card/ prepaid VISA card at Target for cash and using that. No records or linking to your identity. That is my next plan
There used to be a system called Trustcash that TER accepted. TER stopped using them. I'm not sure if the old Trustcash payment system exists anymore. ... I think they're defunct despite this: http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/trustcash#section-related-hubs . BUSINESS SUGGESTION: Somebody restart a Trustcash copycat payment system.
I just tried renewing my VIP membership and the Bitcoin processing is still not functioning.
I also tried using a prepaid Visa gift card and that card got rejected for some reason. Very strange that they would reject funds from essentially a prepaid debit card.
In order to stop money laundering ot personal funds or sending money to terrorist organizations, most US prepaid CCs stopped allowing international (non-US) transactions unless you register the card and authorize the payment. (Read the fine print on the card or the cardboard packaging.) I don't use prepaid CCs anymore, but I think they toughened up the registration requirement. It used to be that you could use a name other than your own and an address that might not be your own address. NOW, I think they require a valid SSN and real name. THEN, you might be able to process an international payment to CCBill or whatever processing service TER is using these days. . Anonymous gift cards should still be working. TER should bring back money order payments.

I like the easy way of gift cards or prepaid VISA cards
To avoid records, and easy to trash them after use. I do not like Bitcoin because is another thing that you need to think about and set it online is just another thing that we should no spend our precious time on..
