Seems to me that if you have $ to play, you have discretionary income.  Not too many guys are going to skip the mortgage payment or let the lights go out at home so they can get laid.  The better argument (or more appropriately put, "whine") would be 'I can't get laid as much as I'd like to at these prices'. I would submit that if you're in the game to any degree, the economy is having marginal impact on your life.

Mostly it seems that the whiners about price are the ones who only see what happens on TER ad boards and don't expose themselves to other venues.  So, ya when you look at things in that narrow vision, you tend to want to bitch because there is a lot of greed.  But, those who have a little game and common sense know that there are plenty of opportunities if you just open your eyes and don't put so much emphasis on trying to be just another notch on a TER girls backside.

Bit of an oxymoron there don't ya think? Greed would have me off of TER, and on my back more. I'm far from greedy, but I am not stupid either. I am not going to fk 10 guys a week, when I can see 2 for the same amount of money in the end. Greed would have me leasing a vehicle vs. paying for one cash like I have always done, or going out and spending 800 bucks on a pair of shoes, that are going to be fked up in a year.

I don't expect my clients to take me out for lobster dinners, and buy me expensive gifts either, but I sure as hell provide them with a standard of luxury that very few can do at my rate. When was the last time you were picked up at the airport by a personal driver, brought to your hotel while he waited for you to check in, taken to the woman's incall, and then taken back? When was the last time you had a choice of not only one, but three incall locations to suit your needs? My guess is never.

When women charge more, they usually go all out for their clients because they can afford to. I bet a girl charging 2k, can do all that and more.  If I were charging half my rate, no way in hell I could afford any of that crap, and I would be fkin 10-12 guys a week on top of that. No thanks. I think you confuse greed with just wanting to be low volume...not nearly the same thing.

Everyone wants their salary to go up because they are underpaid, unappreciated, and unloved.  The product/service THEY provide is worth more because their expense have gone up, it’s a lot of work, etc.

Simultaneously everyone wants what they have to pay for to go down in price because those gluttonous bastards are trying to bleed us poor working types dry.

The hobby is all about discretionary income and wanting to CHOOSE who you can have sex with rather than accepting what you have for free at home. It's not a right and it's certainly not a necessity.

The problem is that you get guys who think that, because the recession of the last few years, every woman selling sex should be holding the line or discounting. Well, my cost of living has not decreased in the last few years and I'm willing to bet that the same is true for providers. As an independent contractor in my field I have not lowered my rates to compensate for the recession.  In fact, I raised them last year. Why should an escort be any different?  Neither my doctor, dentist or mechanic have lowered their rates either.  

I've just never understood the logic that these
guys are using. Frankly, there is P4P sex available in just about any price range one can afford if one can afford it at all.  Instead of wasting time starting threads about what providers should be doing they would be better off spending the time reading reviews and searching for women that they can afford.

The guys who HAVE MORE MONEY are the ones getting the discounts lol. That is what is really ironic. I have friends who constantly whine about being haggled and their rates are like 200 bucks! I haven't budgeted exactly, but an hour at $$.5 or $$$ is something I could afford as a special treat a few times a year. The experience would have to be worth it, and I certainly have no intention of buying an hour of drama or booking a lot of time.
