Hello there ladies & gentlemen!

   Being a woman of the Caribbean I always had a great love for beaches! I am from Belize City, Belize, & although it may carry a "grimy" reputation, we all know that one saying, "There's no place like home!" With that being said, if all goes as planned I will be visiting my homeland this summer! In my opinion, there is not a single man-made thing that can beat the simplicity & beauty of nature.  
   
   My love for beaches & nature grew strong, when I moved to America. Keller Beach in Richmond, CA. seemed to be the closest thing I had to home, besides my "Belizean Kriol" speaking mother! Therefore, I try every summer to choose a new beach I have yet to explore & make it a priority. I have been all through the Bay Area's beaches, The Gold Coast, Some of L.A., Long Beach, San Diego & even this man made beach near Creston, Iowa. So far, my favorite would have to be the Coronado in San Diego, CA.

   This year, besides my highly anticipated trip to Belize, I plan to take my Beach exploration to the South! I haven't been able to pinpoint, exactly which beach I plan to go to but definitely somewhere in Miami. It'll be my first time visiting the state of Florida as well. Maybe some recommendations on the beaches, places to eat, drink, dance, & the hotels?  

   I would like to wish everybody a great & safe summer! Please do share your summer plans, I like to hear about what others find happiness in, it really shows we are all unique. attending as many concerts and festivals as possible and traveling as much as much as possible.

but yes, beaches (and bitches) will also be involved. Of course this time of year is actually "off season" at many of the places I go. In Costa Rica for example, we are right in the middle of the rainy season, and while I spent about half of last week in Jaco Beach, I didn't exactly spend a lot of time enjoying the surf, sun, and sand.

Wow! Costa Rica I heard is beautiful! Sounds like your summer will be full of excitement!

Other than the obvious hobby travel to NYC, Chicago and CT. I plan on taking my daughter to Aspen for a week and renting a log cabin, then a week in Manhattan around Christmas time... that is my ATF place to be other than Paris during December. No international plans this summer... I am not comfortable traveling overseas with just her and I. Other than that, lots of swimming, dolphin cruises and jet skis right in my front yard. I also plan on spending a lot of time in New Orleans, which is where I grew up. I miss the city and my loved ones.  

That sounds like a well spent summer!

That sounds great! I've never had the opportunity to explore that part of the US, I would definitely love to though.

St Croix, Jamaica, possibly St Lucia, and of course I'll be headed somewhere in NC to visit girlfriends that can't make it somewhere more exotic. It's gonna be tons of scuba, horseback riding, and daiquiris with friends, lol! I'm excited because it's the first "summer break" I've actually had since I was 16. It's well deserved and well past due at this point!

And of course, debauchery.

That's another beautiful place in the Caribbean!

I would love love love to visit it!
