To all whom utilize pre-paid credits/debit cards...sad_smile

Believe in plain speak), it means the following:

You have until Sept 27 to use them because after that they are going to be tracked for anti-terrorism/criminal activity.

Just scrutinized more carefully? Have a lower "red flag" transaction amount, or frequency amount? Can anonymous transactions no longer occur? Details plz. ;)

Keep your Green Dot transfers or reloads in person, from your bank or clients under a $ 1000 and you have nothing to worry about.

If you purchase gift credit cards, keep the dollar value under a $ 1000 and you will be fine.

Terrorist crimes, ok. Prostitution, naw, I don't think they would care. They can track a persons' use of the cards, and if things are suspicious like terrorist crimes, then they'll take actions. For prostitution on he other hand, I don't think CIAs, FBI's and other homeland security would give a fuck for prostitution and would skip that. They probably use a data base and specifically track certain activities, and I doubt that providers do activities with Al-Ki-Da (misspelled and don't care) or Osama Bin Laden. Don't think its too much to worry about if your a provider and should be okay IMO.

The gov't /irs/ all of the above including but not limited to credit reporting agencies in many cases will be alerted if the dollar amount exceeds $750 american dollars per transaction

this includes credit cards, bank accounts and even those prepaid type cards

it also includes electronic funds transfers, payments and charges

if you read the fine print on anything from your bank paperwork all the way to something as small as western union or even a prepaid card it does specify 750 being the magic number for the last 2 years

This is how the got Elliot Spitzer, anti money laundering/financial crimes tracking. Its been 10 years since 911, can we have our freedoms back already?
