Thanks for the post.  It might be better (and the reaction would have certainly been better) on the newbie faq board as many of us do know this, as you suspected.  No big deal though.  Have fun out there!

Someone over on the '60 and over' board mentioned about age doesn't mean you can get sloppy in your habits about being careful and mentioned 'make sure you delete your browsing history'.

I'm sure most of you know about the Firefox Private Browsing window, but thought I would post this in case you are not.

In a Private Browsing window, Firefox won't keep any browser history, search history, download history, web form history, cookies, or temporary internet files. However, files you download and bookmarks you make will be kept.

This has made life a lot easier for me.

I know almost nothing about clearing my browser history because I don't give a shit who sees it.  As you know, I'm a self-outed free agent, thus, nothing to hide.

"Private Browsing", "Incognito Mode", "Secure Mode", etc...

Wouldn't it be cool if some browser had the guts to call it what it is?  The "Porn Window".  The "Shit You Don't Want Your Wife to See Window".

Anything like that.  Awesome.

btw, those who want even more privacy than Incognito/Privacy/whatever would be well-advised to check out the Tor Browser.

And btw, GaG:  Atari 800 >> Commodore 64, ainec :)

Affectionately referred to by most of us early day computer nerds as the "Trash-80"  :)  That was the toy that Radio Shack used to push in their stores.

Woulda believe I still have my old Atari 800, and that it still works?

Also have an Atari 800 emulator for Windows, which I run under Parallels on my Mac....a series of blue pills...
