There have been a few threads touching upon  situation(s) where the hobby life collides (or rather, shall we say crashes?) with real life.

I prefer the lunch/dinner date format, as I enjoy the flirting which builds up the excitement for me.  While it hasn't happened to me personally, I'll bet someone out there has been on a lunch/dinner date and an acquintance from real life stops at the table to say "Hello".

I was out eating dinner after a date and a woman walked and started talking my date (her aunt) I was of course introduced  as her new boyfriend and of course I played long.....and My date was horrified of course.But it all worked well

With my job, I regularly meet with both men and women for lunch so this really wouldn't be an issue.

Being single makes it pretty easy. Lunch the cover would be a business meeting or lunch with a colleague. Dinner would be a regular date; not a big deal.
